Hello

はじめまして。私のなまえはジェームズです。22歳です。どおぞよろしく。

Nah, not everyone can read Japanese, so let me introduce myself. I'm James, commonly known as chikorita157 in the Anime Blogosphere, on Twitter and Anime Suki. I'm a full time college student majoring in Management Information Systems and an anime blogger. I have been blogging for almost three years and writing about Anime...

Of course, although I seen other people in the blogosphere play Idolmaster, I never knew much about it since it was only on XBox 360 and only in Japanese. What got me interested is the Anime, which I picked up around four episodes into the airing and enjoyed it, more so after Episode 13... When I heard about the PS3 version of Idolmaster 2, I had to play it and thus I did. I had lots of fun playing it and did quite good after a few playthroughs. Sooner or later, I will pick up the original games for the PSP.

In addition to this, I have started learning Japanese on my own and made significant progress with a lot of practice and reading up on the grammar. Hopefully someday once I finish my studies that I can enjoy the story more and take the JLPT tests.

As for my favorites: My favorite idols is Azusa, Chihaya and Takane (don't let my Yayoi avatar fool you :p). For real life artists, I listen mostly to Japanese music (mostly because American music for the most part sounds awful) and my favorites are Lia, Sakamoto Maaya, Sphere (スフィア), Mizuki Nana and Kalafina to name a few.

Splendid introduction is splendid. And a fan of the Vocal Masters (Chihaya and Takane) is nice! *brofists*

THIS WEEK: This is THE IDOLM@STER, the idol game where Kachou Fuugetsu (Chihaya and Takane) gets a crazy-free lion dance.

Hey there and welcome. A Management Information Systems major? Don't know much about it, but seems like it's business-related. Mind telling us? (Also, History major here.)

I'm also studying Japanese on my own too, got a small amount of kanji recognized. Still need to work on kanji memorization and eventually grammar. Been busy with classes, so I haven't had much time to study.

As for favorites, yay, Chihaya fan.

MIS Major is a more business orientated version of Information Systems... Wikipedia explains this better than I could... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Management_Information_System

Yeah, most of the Kanji is hard... have been using a program called Anki to memorize the vocabulary I have learned from my course book and it has worked for the most part.

Anyways, thank you everyone for welcoming me. :)
