Hello! I know next to nothing about introduction threads, so... The form it is.

Personal Info
Sex: Female
Country of Origin: England
Age (upon joining): 16
Hobbies: Reading, drawing, anime/video games, learning new things.

=Q&A=
Q: How did you come across this site?
A: From Googling the lyrics so I could have a go at translating them myself. I think the song was 「まっくら森の歌」.
Q: Why did you join this site?
A: Not many of my friends know about THE iDOLM@STER, so I wanted a chance to talk with people who do know about it.
Q: Do you play it?
A: Sadly, no. I don't have a Japanese or region-free XBOX to play it on.
Q: Do you wish you could play it?
A: Of course I do, aha. It's exactly the kind of game that appeals to me; one that has characters I love combined with semi-dating sim elements, as well as customizable content and addictive songs sung by talented voice actresses.
Q: Who is your fave idol?
A: Makoto, although Chihaya is a close second. After that, I don't know... I like them all, so my favourites list changes constantly.
Q: Why is your username "baruhara"?
A: It's a pun from the series of Bakemonogatari. One character, Kanbaru, came up with it as a portmanteau of the last part of her name and the last part of her crush's name, Senjougahara. Together it makes "baruhara", the Japanese word for "Valhalla", which is appropriate since they're both very good at their respective sports.
Q: What are you into right now?
A: Oh, man, all of it? My fandoms are pretty consistent, so I have the same fandoms as I do from a few years ago. I'll give a brief list of the major ones right now;
・Mai-HiME
・Mononoke (the 2007 series)
・Strike Witches
・Aflame Inferno
・Ice Revolution
・The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi
・Baccano!
・Bokurano
・Seikon no Qwaser
・Hayate x Blade
・Durrarara!!
・Bakemonogatari
・Haibane Renmei
・D.N.Angel
・D.Gray-Man
・CYNTHIA THE MISSION [addition]
・Tasogare Otome x Amnesia [addition]
・The World God Only Knows [addition]
・Persona Series
・Shadow Hearts
・Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem
・GrimGrimoire
・The iDOLM@STER
・Drakengard
・Dragon Age
・Deadly Premonition
・Dynasty Warriors

Q: What is your motto?
A: 「Why do today what you can do tomorrow?」
Q: Who's your favorite singer(s) right now?
A: Kalafina. Definitely. Without question.
Q: What are you up to right now?
A: Filling in this form. Unless you meant something else by that, and I missed it.
Q: Do you have any expectations from this site?
A: Expectations...? I don't think so. I expect to perhaps enjoy posting here, as with any forum, but aside from that, none.

=== Other Stuff ===

I can be severely sarcastic on occasion, and although I never mean anything bad by it, I thought I should let you know anyway.

Oh, and I also have an extreme fondness for organization. If you want anything organizing, I'll be more than happy to have a go at it for you. In a colourful and unicoded way.  And, since I have nowhere else to put it:-

Colours + Unicode

*:・゚✧ unicode ✧゚・:*

*:・゚✧ colour ✧゚・:*
Light Blue!
Dark Blue!
Bright Green!
Light Green!
Dark Green!
Yellow
Orange!
Red!
Dark Red!
Pink!
Purple!

Edited For: Adding some fandoms I forgot, as well as fixing a typo I spotted. Added a unicode/coding reference.

FINALLY! A Dynasty Warriors fan! I feel like I am crying right now. I've been in the fandom since '07 when I started playing Samurai Warriors on the PS2.

A Makoto fangirl is okay for me.

Anyways, Project-iM@s e yōkoso! (or Welcome to Project-iM@S!)

I see you like Dynasty Warriors as well. It's rare to see these on there. I have been a fan of Dynasty Warriors since 04 when I first played Dynasty Warriors 4. XD

Anyway, Welcome to Project im@s.

Welcome

You don't have a japanese XBox (neither do i) but do you have a DS (3DS and DSi won't work) a PSP or a PS3?

You know about Samurai Warriors as well? Whenever I mention it to anybody they automatically assume that I mean Sengoku Basara, the anime series.

A Makoto fangirl is okay for me.

I can't help myself. Even if I didn't have an inherent love for the deeper voices, her manly charms would win me over regardless.

Anyways, Project-iM@s e yōkoso! (or Welcome to Project-iM@S!)

I've been a fan since I first played Samurai Warriors, since that was a game I've had since I was around... 6 or 7. Since the gameplay and general idea of it is similar to Samurai Warriors, I enjoy Dynasty Warriors just as much as I do Samurai Warriors.

Anyway, Welcome to Project im@s.

Thank you.

I have a PSP, but I was under the assumption that 「林檎」 (i name my electronics) would have to be region-free as well, in order to play the games. If this is an incorrect assumption, I'd be happy to know about it.

Welcome

Thank you.

Edited For: Fixing a typo I spotted. Perhaps I should proof-read.

the PSP is region free. as well the DS (pre DSi) and the PS3

so any of these games will work on your PSP:
http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-9f-49-en-70-3mzv.html
http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-9f-49-en-70-3mzw.html
http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-9f-49-en-70-3mzx.html
(or from whatever store you want to buy them)

they include 3 idols each and a 4th can be unlocked. As Makoto is your favourite idol, i guess you'd want the first of these, it contains Makoto, Haruka, Yayoi and Hibiki

have fun with the game ;)

Hello and welcome to Project Im@s. From England, huh? Other side of the pond here.

Anyway, a Makoto and Chihaya fan, nice. Funny that our first and second favorite idols are switched. And a fan of Persona and Dragon Age? Cool.

Well, I'm saving up for a PS3, so this is excellent news to me.

Thank you for the links.

I see, I see. It seems my wallet will be taking quite the beating, looking at those prices... I wonder if I could bulk buy from YesAsia, since they offer free shipping if you spend more than a certain amount, as well as a little capsule toy for certain purchases. I could also get the Kalafina albums of 「red moon」 and 「seventh heaven」 that I'm missing, too.

Anyway, thank you for the information. I appreciate it.

Hello and welcome to Project Im@s.

Thank you.

From England, huh? Other side of the pond here.

On which side? Mainland Europe or Northern/Southern Ireland?

Anyway, a Makoto and Chihaya fan, nice. Funny that our first and second favorite idols are switched.

Well, like I said, it was probably the boyishness that swung me. If it weren't for Makoto's contralto range then I think Chihaya's kuudere would have definitely zoomed her up on my favourites.

And a fan of Persona and Dragon Age? Cool.

P3P is currently my favourite in the Persona series right now... And I might be a little unpopular in saying I prefer Dragon Age 2 as opposed to Origins/Awakening. I seemed to like more characters in the former as opposed to the latter, where I only really liked Leliana, Morrigan, Awakening!Anders and Sten.

Welcome enjoy your stay! ~

I'll do just that, thank you.

Edited For: I somehow missed a reply.

Oh, far far west of Ireland...yeah, I think I used that term wrong *knock on the head*

For me, it was Chihaya's backstory that won me over. In terms of personality, though, Makoto would be first.

-P3P isn't bad. I like P4 more, though. Then again, it's because I started with P4 first. And Dragon Age 2 was okay, but I liked Dragon Age Origins better. I still loved how Dragon Age 2 was one of the few games where I would constantly pick the middle option, all those snarky comments. Didn't like how the end went, though.

Welcome welcome, I never knew there were a bunch of people that liked the Musou series. I myself started when DW3 came out because it was a really fun co op game me and my brother could play together. :P

Oh, far far west of Ireland...yeah, I think I used that term wrong *knock on the head*

I've only even been to Ireland once, to Newry. I can't remember whether it was Northern or Southern Ireland since my geography is abysmal, but it was a nice place to visit.

For me, it was Chihaya's backstory that won me over. In terms of personality, though, Makoto would be first.

Even in terms of personality, the kuudere is a huge favourite of mine, so I'd probably still have trouble picking... Usually, though, I end up shipping my two favourite characters together, so Makoto/Chihaya means I don't have to show a preference! Maybe. (´ヘ`;)

P3P isn't bad. I like P4 more, though. Then again, it's because I started with P4 first.

I prefer the former because I started with Persona 3 and liked more characters - I only really liked Kanji, Brosuke, Chie, Adachi and Rise in Persona 4 as opposed to pretty much everyone except Ken, Yukari, Junpei and Chidori in Persona 3 - but then P3P became my favourite...

Not only did they add more social links that I didn't expect to love and did, like Rio and Saori, but they gave me social links for characters that I already liked, such as Shinjiro, Ryoji and Akihiko. They also made me actually like Yukari, along with Pre-Chidori!Junpei.

Oh, and they fixed the battle system so that Mitsuru wasn't endlessly charming the enemy, as if she were courting them.

I still loved how Dragon Age 2 was one of the few games where I would constantly pick the middle option, all those snarky comments. Didn't like how the end went, though.

I didn't really like the plot of the game in general, really. It felt more like a prequel to a future game rather than one that could stand on its own, and the fact it was cut up into "years" kind of made me feel like I was missing out on something. Dragon Age: Origins felt a bit more epic, especially since you were visiting lots of different places, as opposed to just Kirkwall in the second game.

But the dialogue was amazing, as if Bioware could produce anything less, the gameplay was more enjoyable and the characters were pretty impressive. That was enough to sway me.

I never knew there were a bunch of people that liked the Musou series.

My fandoms have created a strong bond.

I myself started when DW3 came out because it was a really fun co op game me and my brother could play together. :P

Aside from the Samurai Warriors games, I only own Dynasty Warriors 5 and above.

Edited For: I somehow missed a reply. Again. My capabilities are soaring.

Lol, I think I had the most fun with Dynasty Warriors 5, especially with the addition of Xing Cai in that game. Samurai Warriors was more entertaining to me for some reason though. Maybe it was the anime slashy sounds. >XD

Out of the Dynasty Warriors games, the 6th is my favourite right now, but I don't think I could say why. I think it's a lot more colour-saturated, which makes my visual senses very happy.

Although, I also prefer Samurai Warriors, mainly because of the fact that Ancient Japan interested me more than Ancient China. I always found the latter was more difficult for me to learn because of all the Dynasties.

6 was the first one that was on PS3 if I remember correctly but also had a PS2 version? I didn't play that one.

Hahaha, I have to admit, back when I first played Samurai Warriors I could have cared less about the story, I was just so into the gameplay... But now that I'm older I am more interested in the actual history.
