The iDOLM@STER Anime - Ep. 24 discussion
« on: December 15, 2011, 06:03:23 pm »
Uggu~ After a long struggle with her depression, Haruka's got her positive spirit back! P's alright too! (Maybe heavily injured but still okay!)
How come every episode I watched now looks like a great ending for this anime? (Even though, we're just one week away from the finale!)

And yes! Jupiter's back, too! (Might be more than a minute or so but it's enough for me!)

I'm so glad Broducer didn't die. That would've ruined the whole series for me. D:

Thought this was a good episode (lol, Evangelion), but I was expecting a bit more conflict.

-it's nice that Haruka got her spirit back, and it was awesome seeing Chihaya gather everyone together.
-Yay, Broducer's alive! Although with a neck brace and leg casts, that fall really screwed him up. Still a bro, though.
-Touma and crew are back. Although it looked like they were those people who put boxes in the back of the trucks.
-Those little kids singing Jibun REST@RT = very heartwarming and cute.
-It looked like Haruka took one of the kids in her revelation, so that makes her a kidnapper that's tripping. Still, mini Haruka was adorable.
-I like how the revelation featured the hall where the live in episode 13 occurred, and how Haruka gave caramel to...well, herself. Nice touch by the staff there.
-And that announcement at the end had me smiling.

I feel a little guilty.  Is it bad to be just a little bit disappointed that there was not as much suffering in this episode as I'd hoped?  :<  I mean I was definitely expecting the episode to end on a good note, but there needed to be increased despair and then a cathartic moment of recovery at the end, just like with Chihaya in episode 20, lol.

Oh well, I won't complain.  There was not a big fight between Miki and Haruka, so perhaps the bitter rivalry between the two that got worse after last week will calm down a bit.  ^^;  Hooray for Chihaya to really help out and get everyone together.  She still needs a big hug moment with Haruka; it hasn't happened yet.  :|

Will need subs to understand more of what's going on.

A nice casual appearance for Jupiter.  As long as they're not trying to rival our girls, I'm OK with them.  :P  Nice to see Touma starting over again on the right path; now he's able to help out Haruka a bit, lol.

Harurun's apparition of her little self is so cute. I feel like I am buhyoo'ed.

And Haruka's positive smile has been restored thanks to her fellow idols.

Good lord, hope Broducer's okay. Get well soon!

This episode is better known for this and I will called this one 'The Second Crowning Moment of Heartwarming' episode. Ever.

Overall: 10/10

Looks like next's the thrilling but epic New Year Live!

Just watched the episode and I must say it was a nice and heartwarming episode. It just doesn't feel right to see Haruka this depressed considering that she is one of the most cheerful idols. I'm also glad to see one episode where Miki wasn't acting all selfish and self centered for once. That part where Haruka was teaching the kids to sing was pretty cute as well.

Also, it's nice to see Touma starting over on the right path along with Jupiter as you saw when he ran into Haruka.

The best part though was when everyone got together and sent a message to Haruka in the end.

So overall I give this episode a 9/10.

Watching the subs, it was actually much more moving, now that I could understand what they were saying. I like it how Chihaya went to all that trouble to get everyone together and tell what Haruka wanted and how she now felt about the whole group. Miki also got my approval in this episode too.

Still, the little kids in the episode were adorable (in before they become idols themselves due to Haruka), although I question Haruka kidnapping one of them in her revelation. and little Haruka was cute. Wonder if little Haruka and little Chihaya will meet...

Also, I wonder what's going to happen to Jupiter now...

What I found amusing about the kids is how they quickly typecasted Haruka.  "You're that idol!  SING FOR US, BECAUSE THAT'S ALL YOU DO."  But of course they're just kids, so it's cute and okay.  Also I mention again how Haruka just goes off and on with the disguise.  At the end of the episode just standing there in public with no hat or glasses.  Apparently the cover-up story is that you're home sick, remember?  :P

Jupiter, I think, gets their good ending in this episode.  They've started over with a new label and are having concerts, albeit in small towns.  But if they still have their popularity from their 961 days, it shouldn't take long for them to rise to the top again.  It's nice that they are making good relationships with their production staff and learning a lesson or two from how 765 does business.  :)

Yes, in hindsight I'm happy Miki did not continue to be portrayed as the villain, but I'm still a little sad the drama didn't drag on for more emotional impact.  ^^;  It would have needed another episode, if so.  But this is still pretty good.  Will Haruka and Chihaya finally get a hug for the fans?  :3

EVANGELION

Haruka is deconstructing what it means to be an idol and then reconstructing it!
My mind!

Also, Haru~run is doing some seriously crazed drugs...That whole scene was freakin' me out! XD It was cute and emotional, but her trip lasted longer than Chihaya's.

HaruXChi

Chihaya, did you almost admit your love for Haruka? Pretty emotional scene if I do say so myself!

I also found it funny that all the kids sorta looked like everyone else, especially the kid that was Azusa's stand-in.

As for Jupiter, I was looking at a thread on /a/, and someone thought that 961 Pro would keep the "Jupiter" name. In that case, why not rename themselves
Zeus?

Now that I understand the episode, I think that everything was handled okay. Dunno why, but I feel like a bit more drama would have slowed down the episode a bit.
I also want a Haruka x Chihaya hug too.

Also, the Producer was pretty awesome today. Helped Chihaya out with advice, and also it seemed like he wanted to get out of that bed as soon as possible to help everyone. And the end of the episode...sure is using the OP shots and putting night on them.

Also, comparison between the two. Kid Hibiki is d'aww.

Yes, very Evangelion.

I also think she kidnapped a kid. She needs to stop taking those drugs. /sarcasm

Also, that change to your avatar...*clap clap clap*

(I like my swimsuit Chihaya, though.)

Oh by the way, that place where Miki was.

Is that a landmark in Japan?  Looks crazy.  o.o  Some special architecture project?

EDIT:
The flyer Touma handed Haruka had "Jupiter" on it, so I guess they got to keep their unit name.

Too bad the anime's like over.
They could have a scene with Kuroi trying to get back at them and then 765 productions saving Jupiter.

Hey all, I'm new!  Actually, I've been looking at these anime threads (while waiting for the subs) so that I could try to understand what happened before the subs came out (cause if an episode's out, screw subs, MUST WATCH immediately)

But when watching it without (and understanding very little of what was being said), it was striking in everyone's demeanor.  I kept thinking how Haruka's like the smile of 765Pro and now that she wasn't, the entire company wasn't.

Then the meeting with the little versions of everyone.  Along with Haruka taking one of them.  Who then morphs into Haruka back in Episode 13.
Too many sweets Haruka?

... And the last episode is next week?  Already?
Renew, hurry!

Too bad the anime's like over.
They could have a scene with Kuroi trying to get back at them and then 765 productions saving Jupiter.

765Pro saving Jupiter?  I think we just found out one of the plot points for The iDOLM@STER 3?  XD
