Doing the dances in real life?

Have you ever tried to do imas dances (or any similar anime/game dance) in real life?

I haven't done any imas ones, but in college I had a group of friends do dances from Suzumiya Haruhi and Lucky Star.  Sadly those college days are over, and I won't find anyone from my workplace who's willing, lol.  But they're fun to do, even if you're a guy.    It's a great workout anyhow, which is never a bad thing.

I danced to Go My Way in the privacy of my own place, after finally beating the game (after dozens of failed tries), but I would never do it in front of other people.

I've seen that video before- the choreography is very precise, but that only reminds me of how weird-looking the moves for The Idolmaster are.

I've learned a couple of im@s dances, but I've never put any on youtube...
I really want some people to learn them with...but alas...that will probably never happen...

I've also learned the Hare Hare Yukai and Motteke Sera Fuku dances...
and some k-pop/j-pop dances (for j-pop it's mostly hello project stuff)...

Yes I really badly want to learn im@s 2nd mix...but I keep wanting to do the original idolm@ster dance moves.

I knew a lot of the dances but I'm a bit rusty now...I posted like one to NND...but I'm not sharing. D:

I can do Do-Dai really well and know Dazzling World pretty well. I also tried learning most of the songs from im@s 1 but I haven't really learned much from 2... though It's mostly because of the group dynamic.

Outside im@s I also dance to Hare Hare Yukai (because you are not a Haruhi fan unless you learn this), the Teikoku Kagekidan dance from Sakura Taisen (as well as the festival dance one). And a lot of other things.

Hah, the forum should have an organized meet one day and perform the dances or something.

I would go for that, but I think with the money it would take to buy a plane ticket, we'd all rather just spend it on im@s merchandise.

LOL yeah, that's true. It was just an idea being thrown out there. >XD
A con meetup would be cool though, I've never travelled on my own before so it would be a neat experience.
