Probably.  I wonder where she could be?

:-X

I don't know if it's just this volume, but they've added some relevant comments from the idols.  If this happened on one of the previous two volumes I've not witnessed it myself.  Time... has been in short supply lately.  After hearing what Yayoi had to say (while doing this)... cute is in generous supply.  It evens out I guess.

Eri has her own pose, though it's a bit different than I expected.  The way she looks away is still adorable.  I wish they would have at least put them in their stage outfits for the intro video.  Eri standing in the Pastel Bikini for such a thing is a bit odd to me.  Overall it's still a nice idea, so kudos to them on that.

Weird Iori faces, because they are great.

Thank you very much for this post. Iori and Eri are my favourite idols, and I like Yayoi too.
Nice pictures.

isn't it the same as Yukiho's? Or at least very very similar

It's a bit different, but definitely similar in stature.

Yukiho / Eri

Iori and Eri are my favourite idols, and I like Yayoi too.

Super awesome choices I dare say.  I'd be neat if G4U sticks around in some form, even as a facet of the next game would be fine by me.  As long as it has weird Iori faces?  I'll throw money at it.

Agree completely.
I think it should be a game element.

Like you do promotional photoshoots for your idol and there would be like a grading system and stuff. (Like if your idol is making a good face, good pose, etc etc)

So idols could focus on one element they are good at, for example more visual idols like Miki could be purely gravure models and not really sing and stuff but then more vocal idols like Chihaya would have less photoshoot time and more singing time.

Absolutely dig this idea!  G4U's already segmented into this idea somewhat with selecting poses and expressions.  iDOLM@STER has always had some kind of distinction with appearances.  I'd like concept of segmenting what type of Promotional work to do at any particular point.  Or even make it something all together different?  I wouldn't want it to be something else you'd have to reset repeatedly to get, there's enough of that already.

I understand why they end up doing the same Promotional work in each game, but a variation based on a unit's stats or appearance (plus more mini-game opportunities) would be awesome.  If they were to combine the engines between the two, maybe we could finally extract the pictures taken during performances without a capture device?  That would be awesome.

Or just make it like Pokemon Snap, whatever.  I can see the elusive Yukiho being the one to get.  I'd still play it.

More likely, the player would probably be required to do the songs/concerts/auditions/whatever and the photoshoots, or would have the option to switch between, in the next game. There might even be an audition stage for certain photoshoot stages, like you have to take and choose a picture to send in to get a certain photoshoot job.

(As an aside, anyone want to see acting portions or some such? Would be a nightmare to implement, but with Yukiho and Haruka getting acting jobs in the anime, it wouldn't be out of place. Idols get put in movies and TV dramas all the time, right?)

Well, iM@S is about idols, and idols do everything. So technically doing singing, dancing, acting, modelling, promoting, etc. would actually make them more idol-like, and make the game more interesting and varied. The game is already pretty complicated, so this would add another layer of complexity. And another way for Namco to make money from ridiculous amounts of DLC.

I would love to be able to botch the job assignments like the Producer did in episode 6.   :D

Well there is loose scheduling in SP but it's mostly just remembering the magazine name or whatever for the next morning or next 2 days or so.

I would do this, especially if there was actually some dialogue or something to go with it showing how uncomfortable she is

Well you could always screw up a promotion on purpose to see the end result. I managed to make Yukiho faint in one of them pretty badly.

Well with the forum acting wonky, I can unfortunately share only half of what I was going to yesterday:

AmiAmi has G4U Vol. 8 on sale at 32% off.

They had Vol. 7 at 27% or something yesterday, but it looks like that one's over, probably because it sold out. But then again, Vol. 8 is sold out, too. Keep an eye out for a restock until they remove the sale price if you're interested.

There was more prints in vol.9, so I laid them out on the floor , since I couldn't fit it on the table this time around. :P
