Yoness folks!
« on: November 10, 2011, 06:48:33 am »
Hey everyone, I'm new and shiny around here.  Well... new, at the very least.

Real Name: Matthew.  Simply "Matt" or my forum name is A-OK, I've attempted to maintain the latter wherever I end up.
Sex: Male
Country of Origin: United States
Age (upon joining): 29
Hobbies: I'll just say it's whatever tickles my fancy

=Q&A=

Q: How did you come across this site?
A: Searching for iDOLM@STER resources some time ago, this is one place where I landed

Q: Why did you join this site?
A: I found little time to peruse the community until recently, and everyone seem like stand-up fellas.  I can dig it, so here I am.

Q: Do you play it?
A: A little bit of the sequel's 360 version (before the console kerput), and currently own the sequel's PS3 version

Q: Who is your fave idol?
A: I try not to play favorites too often, though I do have a great appreciation for Yayoi's positive energy.

Q: Why is your username "Funkies"?
A: I honestly forget why I picked "Funkies" to go with ages ago.  It had something to do with signing up for Ragnarok Online (iRO) eons ago, then going with whatever popped in my head.

Q: What are you in to right now?
A: I'm a foster care provider, which is more of a job as opposed to what I'm interested in... yet it is what it is! Again, whatever tickles my fancy I suppose.

Q: What is your motto?
A: I do not believe I have one, so... moving on!

Q: Who's your favorite singer(s) right now?
A: I don't particularly have any favorites, though I do tend to gravitate towards I've Sound related material should something new pop-up.  Fancy, tickle, same deal.

Q: What are you up to right now?
A: Chilling out after a long day, I feel it's deserved!

Q: Do you have any expectations from this site?
A: I expect folks to be nifty individuals, so I suppose my expectations have been met already.  Otherwise the information's nice, I imagine it will grow as iDOLM@STER does.

=== Other Stuff ===

Aside from iDOLM@STER, I'm also a moderate Touhou fan.  Not very awesome at danmaku style shooters, but I don't let that stop me.  I play Minecraft on occasion (I am amused with the iM@S/Minecraft crossovers I come by), I enjoy quite a bit of doujin music (though I have not the time to follow it as I used to), and... other stuff.  Enough about stuff, I'll wrap this up.  I like to take it easy most of the time, there's enough to stress about in every day life as it is!

So, nice to meet everyone!  Good luck to everyone, it's a nice place ya have here.

I enjoy quite a bit of doujin music (though I have not the time to follow it as I used to), and... other stuff.

Favorite doujin music circles and their genres?

Kinda a fan of TamMusic, Pure Pollution and Sound Holic (Touhou remixes), and an actual fan of C-Media Records (techno).
Cael's Im@s Ranking: Azusa, Yumeko, Tomomi, Haruka

TAM and crew are great, their live shows must be something to see.  Pure Pollution and Sound Holic are pretty good too, wasn't so much of a fan of the latter's Swing Holic spin-off (though I've read they've improved as time's gone on).  Anything really, though I do like some good vocal music.  Be it made with real instruments or electronic beats, if it has a good sound?  I'm up for an earful.  I'll check out C-Media Records, I doubt I'll be disappointed.

Doesn't have to be Touhou specifically.  I'm happy Love Solfege, Asriel, and Shoujo Byou have some commercial success.  IOSYS' crew have been seeping out there (even on iDOLM@STER stuff), excellent to have Masayoshi Minoshima compose a track for KOTOKO's latest album.  Ah... I'll ramble more if I continue.

Anything just about, depends on what I'm in the mood for!

Thanks for the welcome everyone!  A chocolate corone is delicious indeed, and somehow highly appropriate for a Yayoi to be stuck inside of.  I don't know if I'd eat it, so much energy can be dangerous when consumed all at once.

Still, it may be worth the risk...

Have fun everyone!
