Is it compatible with the Asian version of the game?

It unfortunately is not compatible. For Asian version DLC you must use HKD. Which sucks since HKD is more expensive I find.

Are you sure? I thought it did.

Hmm...maybe the exchange rate is differnet now, but I find it cheaper if not the same.
Besides the game is cheaper so why not indulge in some DLC?

For a technical explanation it's this:

The game itself is identified by a disc code, and the disc codes for the Japanese and the Asian version (Even though they're functionally the same game right down to its programming) are different, so DLC purchased on one won't work on the other

(Unless you can a) move the DLC to where it should be and b) trick the PS3 into enabling the DLC at that location. I wouldn't know where to start with that.)

Well, I suppose but 30$ for about 200 HKD seems like a lot to me...
It could be cheap! I wouldn't know~
...
Is it cheap?

When I ran the mathematical ruler about two weeks ago, we calculated a 15-20% discount on the Japanese costs.

In short, if it wasn't for the fact I couldn't use it (due to a certain composer throwing me a present) I probably would have. It is cheap, for im@s standards.

Then again, it is im@s standards which most people think is 'Uh, what the heck?'

As for that price, I don't know - said friend who helped me run the math actually has an account in Macau and has citizenship, so consequently we had access to a better rate.
