Asrialterra:
Well i think this has something to do with the anime opening.

A party (or a firm) involved in managing NBGI's IP (We'll include Sony as well because of the next paragraph) saw this as an opportunity to protect their IP rights (namely for productivity and promotional reasons) and filed there.
...My money's on Sony myself, since they have had a history of doing absurdities (DCMA, or Australian case law) in an attempt to protect regioning (Which is one reason you'd launch an action like this) - to try prevent leaks so you can promote it once again in new areas...
...It probably implies that there may be a small chance they may look into releasing the anime at least on a wider basis. This once again points to Sony Entertainment as the most likely filer.

ONORE, SONII.......!!
I get their strategy, and the fact that it's effective is a hard pill to swallow. Just look at us now, we're talking about it. People are noticing it. We'll be talking and soon we'll be begging for them to cough the goods. And when we reach the point where we'll spend our money with no second thought, they'll give us what we want. They gain so much profit from doing so little. D:

Well, it's business. It's not particularly pleasant. It however works.
I did find out a couple of oddities, but I can't confirm if it's my custom copy (It arrived today) or if it is deliberate (And across all LEs)
The LE BR with episodes 1 and 2 are... strangely enough, NOT region locked. (The US and Japan share region A. I'm in Australia. I own a PAL PS3. It only plays Region B, and yet... it still works.)
I know I do talk with some of these guys, but mine IS a standard production (if snuck out via a back door) copy with a couple of extra things. I can't see them sneaking a master copy out for me (considering they don't deal with the video side of things.) so I'm left scratching my head.
The fact they've tapped the very long route implies that there's an interest in an international release, or at least enough of one to justify a blackout. The fact they haven't bothered blocking the LE Bluray further implies that they're acknowledging there's a market.
Then again, I spent a couple of hours today explaining some of the more interesting developments and what probably happened at NGBI's offices during the November 2010 - Feburary 2011 period. Business is always a bit confusing at best, and I suspect what's happened is that there's some drive into idolm@ster expanding its audience.
Of course to WHO is a question I can't answer yet. I'll have to catch up with a few people to ask that later.

This time user "qoola1102's" video. If you look at qoola1102 chanel page you see it has been posted today (October 31, 2011) and it has zero view.

By the way.
Thank you Setsuna for your quick answer/explanation (and looking forward later to more "info").
