It takes a bit to get going in the game, but you can make do with Normals and such if you choose your opponents very carefully.

For quick boosts to ATK, you might find someone that matches your producer type that gains ATK quickly at low levels (Kyoko Igarashi, for Cute types), and boost them until you see diminishing returns. Mostly though, you can put the highest Cost idols you have in your front group and you'll be as good as you can be (if you level them, of course).

The more long term solution is of course to pick a few idols that offer high Cost and good ATK/Cost and max out two copies of each, then upgrade them and max the plus version, but that can take a bit of time. Just be sure to build up your DEF first. Put the most intimidating idol you have as your leader, and put a lot of points into DEF. People will start leaving you alone.

Weird about that 4 PM EDT rollover. I tried it just after 4 PM I thought when I made my post but didn't get it. I must have gone just before it or something.

I don't suppose there's a resource out there for individual idol stat growth is there?

As far as idols go, that Yayoi has the highest base attack of any of my idols, followed less than a hundred behind by Chika. They have ~1300 attack each at level 1. I don't even have Kyoko Igarashi, so I'm not sure what her stats look like.

I'm less worried about having people leave me alone as I am being able to beat people for outfits and money. I guess all it comes down to is just leveling from here on.

Also, side note about that boost thing, all of my sub accounts got it on every single job they ran today while my main didn't get any. They're all in the same group but my main is the head of it. Wondering if that affects it somehow.

Quick question: How do you get more points to assign to your stats?

Seems like you can get some from the early levels and you can get some from having people join the production group you're in, but I'm not sure how else to get them and I just don't see them from levels anymore. Kinda makes it hard to boost my offense or defense if I'm maybe getting one point per level.

I'm able to swipe some clothes, but I keep losing them just as quickly. Getting annoying.

there are only 3 ways
1. 1 member in your production = 2 stat points
2. finishing 1 job level(non event) gives you 1 stat point
3. leveling up gives you random(?)

That's helpful, though, thanks. I've gotten every piece of two event sets and half of another and I'm down to the base two on all three. Most I've had at once was 5/6.

I wanna say it's set at certain levels, but I haven't been keeping track. Like...

+1 Stam, +1 ATK
+1 ATK, +1 DEF
+1 Stam, +1 DEF

(repeat)

But don't worry overly much, you can still complete event costumes after the event's over. If you find yourself lacking in DEF, you can start doing regular work and drop ten or twenty points into it within the space of not too long in days and redouble your efforts once things have settled down. Again, you have to be really picky about who you fight. Looks like you're doing that, though.

4/11 EDIT: Man, this is frustrating. I can't even hold onto anything. I just got a purple umm... Whatever that says. Excite Spring? Well I got one and lost it within 3 minutes. And I've been getting and losing a blue one all day. Last night I managed to get up to 5/6 on another set and lost it down to 2/6 within a couple of hours while I fought every time my counter was restored to get pieces back. I was down to 0/6 when I woke up this morning. My team's getting a lot stronger and I'm fending off some attacks, but I guess I'm not intimidating enough without boosting my defense stat more.

4/12 EDIT: Complained too quickly, I guess. I managed to finish two outfits yesterday: Excite Spring (or, again, whatever that says) and Lovely... again, whatever that says. Anjyu? Anju? Whatever it is, I can't figure out what it's supposed to be. Anyway, I got 'em >.> Not sure if I can do anything else I haven't gotten yet, though. People are pushing really hard on the other two event sets. Progress, though.

But it does leave me with a question since I got one these: What exactly do trainer cards do? Just big EXP boosts for lessons or something? Can you combine them to get + versions? Just trying to see what I should do with them before I run off and use them.

Are you talking about the thumbnails for the dresses you can get, or are you talking about the idols themselves?

The actual costumes you win from the battles; so, yes, the thumbnails. I'm mostly just curious, since a lot of them seem to be based on outfits the girls in the cards wear. In the promotional screenshots, there was the outfit with the tie and plaid vest/skirt combo which an idol named Ryou wears, and that baseball outfit is worn by the new Yuki card.
