I don't think I was talking with you ChocoCats, so it's not my business whether you liked it or not, and we were marginally on topic, since we were expressing out thoughts about the rankings with a small detour.

A forum is a forum. Don't post if you're not willing to have everyone who sees it comment on it.

On topic, I'm actually really surprised that Miku came in second. Seemed like her popularity had been really slipping in the past couple of years.

As for the rest...
6: Uzuki
7: Nana
8: Anzu
9: Rin
10: Sachiko
11: Chieri
12: Mika
13: Ranko
14: Fumika
15: Takumi
16: Karen
17: Anya
18: Mio
19: Yui
20: Kyoko

I'd like to think this is Miku's ultimate comeback against NG after the anime.

Yeah I was surprised that Miku took second place, but I think that the anime really boosted her popularity (I have to admit that I hated the character a lot before episode 11 xddd).

Yeah, I thought if anything the anime would hurt her.

She got at least decent focus and exposition to her character, many of her gimmicks animated and we saw some casual moments of her life. I think that was enough to make a positive impact.
On the other hand, many of the idols (and yes, such as Rika and Miria) got a very poor representation, so it's no wonder they are doing bad.
What I'm surprised about is that Chieri got a nice ranking despite also having a poor representation.

On one hand, yeah she was a bit annoying (if comical) around the beginning, but her character began to grow later on, especially in her episode with Riina. Miku's probably one of those characters that benefits from being in Cinderella Project due to becoming more fleshed-out as a result.

I think that in season 2, characters like Rika, Miria or Chieri would have more spotlight (besides in the side story dramas for each episode, the 3 of them have enough focus and representation, so people wouldn't complain too much if they are able to find those ^^).

I really don't see how they would get more spotlight.
In theory, they got their episodes too, and the staff doesn't seem to favor them evidently.
IMO they will just get shoved to the side even more. Maybe Chieri will get lucky since she seems to be getting a bit of popularity, but those two on the other hand...

Still mad that Chieri fell off the top 10. I blame Nana.

I'm happy for Miku though. I already liked her and her song, but she developed pretty nicely by the end of the anime. Though Sachiko ended up being more entertaining in one episode than she did in the entire first season, so I ended up switching their placements on my personal ranking.

Kaede being third place is a no-brainer. Though I feel like this randomly reinforces the Chieri/Kaede crack pairing even more now.

I approve of Shiki too, though I was hoping Kyoko would score a bit higher too (and I still keep confusing her with Noriko, which doesn't help since the anime gave the latter a cameo instead). And Momoka is still due for her voice already, goddammit.

Damn, Sae being 15th highest cute at the halfway point sadly wasn't enough to get her into the top 50.

I'm a little iffy about the rest of the top 50 (particularly Airi falling back down to 41st and below Riina of all people), but Kirari bouncing back up to 21st place is nice. Still wish Miria got some love though.

I really don't see how they would get more spotlight.

Uh, Chieri was always popular. This is the first year she's fallen off the top ten. 6th place in 2012, 7th in 2013, 3rd in 2014.

I don't understand why some of you are so upset over Rika and Miria.
Miria has only ever ranked once, and Rika has practically fallen off of the map since the 3rd election.

Miria ranked at one point? >_>

... Oh, 37th in 2013. Did not know that.

Personally, I'm just annoyed that she was relatively a nobody when she got her CD, ended up having one of the BEST SONGS EVER SERIOUSLY, was cute as hell in all supplementary material following her CD's release, and... still manages to get no attention.

From how I'm seeing it, it's now the time for the adult idols to shine. Would really be surprised if SHE got voiced.

At least by proxy of being in Cinderella Project, Miria's gonna get more material than a lot of other characters. Remember, Arisu is voiced and NOTHING'S been done for her yet. At least Miria has a song and appears in the anime.

From how I'm seeing it, it's now the time for the adult idols to shine. Would really be surprised if SHE got voiced.

Its inevitable given how heavily promoted she was for the anime. Despite not even being in a poster for the first cour, its coming. Its all a matter of when.

Really, I'm just happy Takumi is finally getting voiced. We need more tough girls in the limelight. Only voiced ones I can think of are Makoto Kikuchi and Noriko Fukuda.
