Someday Kyoko, someday. Hopefully the anime will give you a voice. But congrats to Arisu, Syuko seemed to have the poll in the bag. I love both so it's a win-win. The top 10 looks very nice, didn't expect Miyu to make 3rd place.

Her voice will be provided by Amina Sato, a former AKB48 member!

From what I have heard, the voice fits perfectly. I'm glad the see at least one of the AKB0048 cast getting more work. I want Karen Iwata to voice a CG now. ;_;

Arisu's grown on my since the announcement. Honestly, I'm happy with the top ten, except for Yumi and Miyu whose popularity baffles me. I get why Kyoko's popular but those two confuse me.

Besides the one production listed at the front of this thread, are there any other productions open at the moment?

Here's a preview of Fumika's song "Bright Blue" as well as first look at her album's cover art.

EDIT: Here's a link to the cover arts for all of Batch Seven as well as a new anime key visual featuring all of Cinderella Project. I think there were other CD details, but I can't read Japanese. If anybody can, please translate.

I like Bright blue and Hotel moonside, but the rest of the songs is sung with so shrill, Yayoi-like voices! :(

Top 40s

What?

America and other countries iirc have a "top 40" system of ranking singles and... Their playtime on mainstream radio, I think? Right now EDM and the like are super popular.

HOTEL MOONSIDE. REALLY FEELING IT. It's not like any other song we've really had yet, honestly. And I like it a lot.

I think Fred's is the most disappointing to me, because she's one of my fave cute types and her voice doesn't fit her at all. I expected something more mature and whispery, but she just got a generic cutesy voice. I like the song itself though.

I'm mostly just shocked at how fast they pumped this round of singles out.

I absolutely adore Hotel Moonside so far, it's just that it sounds like something I'd hear from the radio.

I'm a fan of Fumika's and Yuki's too since both fit the characters so well, especially with the cover arts.

Nina's is alright, but Fred's was disappointing. I'm not really feeling Fred's voice, even after I heard it in speaking. Maybe it's just too high-pitched and cute for my tastes. :/

Wow, that was fast.

Fumika: Alright. Cover's nice though.

Yuki: Very fitting. I like it.

Frederica: Easily the weakest out of this batch. They try to make a cute voice out of her, but I'm not feeling it.

Kanade: Meh. It reminds of those mainstream radio songs and I don't really like them that much, this included.

Nina: I actually like this the best. It reminds me of those children songs and for some reason, I enjoy listening to them.

Listened to the songs; Frederica's is very disappointing. Her voice sounds horrid imo. Not even because its "cute". It just sounds like someone that can't sing for shit tbh. The instrumental version of the song might be nice, though. Makes me pretty sad since I like Frederica quite a bit and was looking forward to her song.

Moonside Hotel is...listenable, but too "club" sounding for my taste. The more I listen to it the more I like it, though.

Now for the characters whose songs I didn't care about from the start (since I don't care for the characters themselves)-

Fumika's song is actually pretty nice. Very soft and calm. Although it feels very generic for some reason.

Yuki's song is alright.

Nina's is pretty decent and cute.

I'm pretty unenthused about these songs, but I've liked very few of the Cinderella Girls songs so far so it doesn't really surprise me.

It's funny bc when the girls for this round were announced, I expected Frederica and Kanade to have really similar voices... But Kanade went way lower than I expected and Freddy's.... Just... Well, I've already said what I think.

Frederica's is easily the weakest because her voice doesn't match her at all tbh (but I like the song)
She's a half-french flirty girl. I wanted a more mature voice with a sultry touch to it.

Kanade's is easily my favorite, Fumika's is just as I expected, Nina's is cute, and Yuki's is what I expected as well. The tempo change is weird and will take time to get used to though.
Overall, pretty weak batch if you ask me.

Who do you think will get next batch? (Arisu is obviously next batch) I won't give up hope for Natsuki. Some girls have randomly gotten CDs unexpectedly before.

*listening to Cute Jewelries 02 bonus track*

Oh god, this is too moe for my heart. Twenty-six minutes of Cutes being Cute, especially my favorite Cute. Although Mayu briefly loses it in a few moments, like when she copies Ranko's "savor the darkness" and wants to savor it with Producer, or in the following (paraphrased) exchange.

Kanako: Chieri is really cute, so Chieri doesn't need to worry about anything.
Sae: Come to think of it, Producer-han said something similar.
Mayu: PRODUCER-SAN SAID WHAT?
Sae: Mayu, you're a little close... I mean, Producer-han said Chieri's choppu was nice. (they still remember that joke?)
Mayu: Chop, you say... Chop... Chop... *making chopping noises in the background*

Anyway, I'm getting ahead of myself. To summarize, as far as I can understand, it's about Chieri lacking confidence in her defining traits as an idol. To compare, she sees Mayu is the ideal girly idol (can cook, used to be a model, etc.), Sae is the Kyoto idol, Kanako is the sweets idol, Sachiko is... Sachiko-like (that's seriously what she says, but Sachiko is perfectly fine with that answer), and so on. Meanwhile, Chieri is just... cute. Though they throw out ideas like she's the clover idol, or how she's like a bunny (but she doesn't eat clovers).

So the other idols have Chieri start copying other idols. They actually broke the fourth wall this time when Sachiko does the usual Staff-san things in the interviews, and they actually asked, "Where are those sound effects coming from?" It turned out Mayu borrowed Staff-san's equipment.

So they started with Sae having Chieri repeat her own lines, like Producer-han. Then they move onto Ranko's "savor the darkness", Kirari's "nyowa~" and Kirari--er, "Chieri beam~", and so on. It's really adorable.
