While Chieri did not get 1st place, its still impressive that she made the Top 5. If anything, Chieri is STILL gonna get herself out there a lot in terms of CDs, Lives, and other major roles. I mean look at Anastasia. She went from a relative nobody to one of the more prominent characters after the second Cinderella Girl Election and she didn't even win first place. I'm not too upset over Chieri's loss because she's gonna have two appearances in CD Group Songs anyway. Just giving my two cents. :3

Yeah, I suppose that's the upside to all this. Chieri going from 7th place and 30k votes below Sachiko at 4th place, to her getting double the votes Sachiko currently has and hitting second-third place is a huge step up for her.
In addition to all the cards she's been getting lately, she had one of the longest interviews, which had some great moments in it. Maybe all that helped to make an impact?

Hence why I love this format of Top 3 within each category. Its more of an "Everybody Wins" situation than last year which felt more like "Top 5 or Bust". It also amuses me greatly that Mio, Yuki, and Aiko will have a group song together. =w=
