Is Aiko even popular? Like I know there's a meme of some sort among Japanese fans with her measurements but it's nowhere near the injoke status Mizuki or Nana has. Really surprised it was her and not Shizuku or someone else.

Koume, Chieri (I'm not sure of her gimmick), and Anastasia I can understand. I see quite a bit of fanart of each of them on Pixiv and NicoNicoSeiga.

Anticipating their songs, perhaps Koume's will be spooky or kind of Ghostbusters-esque and Anastasia's might be a lovely ballad (akin to Kaede's Koi Kaze).

The other two I don't know much about. I'm not quite sure what their gimmicks are.

I'm kind of surprised that Nao, Karen, Chiho, Chie, and Kaoru didn't make the list this time. Especially Kaoru. The CM series needs more lolis! Sure, we've got Miria, but still...

I don't know about Shizuku though. I think the only reason she's popular is because of her sex appeal (for obvious reasons). I swear, at least 60% of the Shizuku fanart I see is R-18. I can see her sing Bakunyumorion though...

Well, she placed 15th in the last poll, so I guess that counts for something. I don't really want Shizuku to get a CD, either.

Chieri's gimmick is being extremely shy, shyer than Yukiho by a lot. We might get Momoka, seeing as how she's the most popular Cute loli, and Chie is beat by Arisu and Yume for Cool. As for Passion... Nana looks more likely than Kaoru... Bummer.

If they follow their formula, next batch will consist of 2 Passion, 2 Cool and 1 Cute.

To answer Aiko-related questions: Way back in the past, I see Aiko was "statistically" more suited to be the Passion NG member (living in Tokyo unlike Mio being in Chiba, being 16 to even out's Uzuki's 17 and Rin's 15, etc.). This was probably the basis of her being liked in the community (I saw one shopped pic of the anime where Haruka, Miki and Chihaya were replaced by the NG, sans Mio, where Aiko took her place). Another thing to take notice is that unlike most Passion idols, she's not energetic, but more elegant and peaceful (now that I think about it, I can't say that trait is either cool or cute). But yeah, back then, perhaps the biggest hurdle that Mio has to come to instill her heroine status was Aiko.

Back to the CDs, I have no quarrels about this lineup, though Koume is the only thing that really makes me happy among them. XD
