A lot of huge ranking surprises here though. Last time Airi won, beating Ranko by a massive amount of votes, and she's not even in the top 10 this time.

As much as I love Rin and Kaede, I would like unvoiced idols to be in the unit CD. 

I would too, since I think it makes for a great opportunity for Namco to spot the next Cinderella Masters. On the other hand, I can probably see some of the casting crew praying that there won't be much yet-unvoiced idols there since they have to find seiyuu and cast them. XD

I think this time, because of the "top 5 gets a unit CD" reward, people (if not most of them) voted for their favorite combination instead. I wonder if by showing the preliminary results, the voting would change dramatically.

tbh I think CG is more popular because there are new cards and content... what, every week? Ever few days? It's got something to hook in your attention and make the game more interesting. I haven't "played" CG in over half a year, but I log in every day to look at the new cards and collect a bonus. There are 100+ girls in CG. Whatever your tastes are, you can find a character that you love. Like catgirls? Megane characters? Shy girls? Genki girls? Mushroom addicts? They've got them, even if they only have 15 or so lines.

Plus you can't ever "finish" or "win" Cinderella Girls. Even if you somehow collect 500 stams to trade for your favorite aidoru's SR+, the next week could bring another idol to trade for.

Whereas Dearly Stars was just... one game, and that's it. Once you finish it, there's nothing to do. It just sort of faded out of popularity, not helped by scamco's stubborn refusal to milk it as a cash cow. still waiting on the inevitable 3DS remake/sequel/thing though

tl;dr more fresh content keeps the game alive and therefore more popular than DS

i really like the fact CG including many character type even the rarer one especially with the fact cg have many loli type

the other reason why DS unpopular most likely because you can't be the producer

I believe I saw a ML version, he previewed the CG one at the end.

I watched the CG event for Onegai! Cinderella finally and it seems the VAs want: from the Passions, an anime, from the Cools more CDs (Ayaka F. said duets, specifically) and the Cutes said concerts. I want this, too. I like how the VAs are willing to devote their time to the series.

I was already writing down my dream CD from each idol ^^
