The game took me a little bit to grasp, but I finally got it!
My current team is Chihaya, Rin Shibuya & Rina Tada. I also tried joining the production group but it didn't work so I'll try again later.

The Mobage App doesn't work on my phone because "it is not available in my country".
So I dl'ed some other ap which is the idolm@ster game.
Okay, so I start up the game and now I need an account but for some reason it won't let me do it from the game...and it's taking forever to load. I tried to find their website to make an account but I can't figure out where to go.
Anyone got instructions?

Open up your phone browser, type in mbga.jp in the URL and it should bring you to the registration page.
Fill in an email address, and Mobage will email you the registration page where you enter birth date, username, password, etc.
After that's done go back to Cinderella Girls and you should be able to play.
