A semi-translator joins the ranks!

(1/3) > >>

AkinaSumora:
And when I say semi-translator, I mean I'm contributing to the Idolmaster SP project, currently working on Yukiho's path. I started a couple years ago, quickly dropped it due to school, and started on it again recently due to finishing school. Figured it was about time I make my presence known on the forum >_<

Personal Info:

Real Name: Jen, but if we go by producer names, call me AkiP, lol
Sex: Female
Country of Origin: USA
Age (upon joining): 3 days shy of 25
Hobbies: singing (of course), sewing (mostly cosplay), reading, cross-stitch embroidery, and JRPGs (mainly the "Tales of" series)

=Q&A=

Q: How did you come across this site?
A: Through working on the Idolmaster SP translation project.

Q: Why did you join this site?
A: The ability to discuss translation quirks and queries with others working on the project, and also to read about im@s stuff with other fans.

Q: Do you play it?
A: Haven't yet, but now that school is done and I have *slightly* more free time (and the possibility of getting a better paying job at some point), I do plan on at least getting one of the SP games, and hopefully Idolmaster 2 for PS3.

Q: Do you wish you could play it? (Ignore this part if above answer is "Yes")
A: Of course! If all goes well, I will soon ^_^

Q: Who is your fave idol?
A: Used to be Yukiho, because I was a lot like her. Then I went to college. Now my favorite is Ritsuko... because I am a lot like her. XP (I even wear glasses!)

Q: Why is your username "AkinaSumora"?
A: That's my username on a lot of sites. I kinda entered it out of habit when I registered here, but then again, it's my name on the Idolmaster SP translation wiki page, so that way I will be known as the same person.

Q: What are you in to right now?
A: Writing, or I would be if I had time to write. More like making up stories in my head that I don't have time to write down physically. Lots of things inspire me...

Q: What is your motto?
A: If you really want something, first decide if you need it. Then, keep trying until you get it.

Q: Who's your favorite singer(s) right now?
A: It's a tie between Kalafina and Ali Project.

Q: What are you up to right now?
A: Listening to some random im@s mashups while trying to convince myself I should go to bed in the next 10 minutes, or else I'll be up for another 2 hours searching for im@s stuff and then I will be cranky at work tomorrow morning. T_T

Q: Do you have any expectations from this site?
A: Only that I enjoy myself while reading and posting about something I like a lot. (And hope that no one bashes any im@s cosplay I might post in the future...)

=== Other Stuff ===

My younger sister is also a fan of Idolmaster. Her favorite idol is Miki and she likes to brag to me that she's memorized more of the game songs than I have. Maybe I would have too, if I had gotten into the games BEFORE I finished high school. You know, when they weren't invented yet. Wow I feel old...

Anyway, nice to meet you all, yoroshiku onegaishimasu and all the other stuff the idols say to their new producers!

Mind M@ster:
Hello. Welcome to P-iM@S!

Where's Aria? She's found her sister.

Cael K.:
Yeah, keeping up your Japanese is kinda hard when you can't, well... go to Japan, isn't it? I guess that's what video games, anime, and manga are for... ^_^

Speaking of which, maybe I should go back to the manga collection and finish translating something myself.

animagic4u:
Welcome AkiP!

Your producer name sounds familiar...maybe I'm just thinking of someone else!

PinoyCruger:
You are really too perfect for your favorite idol, Ritsuko.

By the way, Project-iM@s e yƍkoso! (or Welcome to Project-iM@S!)
