WWE Hell in A Cell 2011
« on: October 03, 2011, 07:30:38 am »
Ever since last time when Marx was posted a WWE PPV topic, maybe I'll start with this PPV topic: Hell in A Cell.

Ever since I didn't watch it live in the morning (in Manila) at 8:00 AM, maybe I'll watch the replay just in case due to my insomnia attack on my head. *prepares feather fan* So, shall I start my opinions on this?

· Sheamus is awesome, and he pummels Christian in the first matchup. But the thing is, fired Superstars, The Miz and R-Truth are in the audience and they have tickets in their hands to watch.

· One of my favs is the matchup between the two Sin Caras. Sin Cara (Mistico) battles another Sin Cara (Incognito*) as they fight like two lightning bolts struck. But in the end, Sin Cara (Mistico) emerges as the winner and he is the true Sin Cara indeed.

· Air Boom defends their Tag Team titles against Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger. They deal some damage here but in the end, Air Boom remains supreme and still the Tag Team champs.

· Mark Henry defends his World title for the first time against the Viper and WWE's Apex Predator, Randy Orton, but Henry won and manages to defend the Title inside the Devil's Playground. At the end of the match, Henry tries to induct Orton into the Hall of Pain, but Orton dodges it and manages to turn the tables around as he pummels Henry with a steel chair.

· An impromptu match has ordered for Cody Rhodes to defend his retro-style Intercontinental title against John Morrison, but it ended when Rhodes successfully defended it. I have to say that retro-style Intercontinental belt was colored white, and it goes back to the old days I'll say.

· After weeks of her attempts to gain the Divas Championship, Beth Phoenix nets the butterfly belt as she won against Kelly Kelly... with some assistance from Natalya. Looks like Beth's title drought was over I think.

· The main event is the first time ever when a Triple Threat match is happening here for the WWE Championship, as John Cena faces CM Punk and the Mexican Aristocrat, Alberto Del Rio. It was one epic match but in the end, Del Rio manages to recapture the title. After the match however, The Miz and R-Truth attacked Punk and Cena as Triple H, WWE COO, orders the police to arrest both The Miz and R-Truth, but they were later pummeled by the WWE COO.

Phew, I am done for this. So, what is your opinion for this? Anyone?

* - The second Sin Cara is Incognito, whose real name is Jose Arias.

Let's see.

Christian vs Sheamus was pretty decent though I wasn't really interested in that.

Sin Cara #1 vs Sin Cara #2 wasn't really that great in my opinion. I heard some fans chanting "Boring" During the match and you know what, I kind of agreed with them.

Mark Henry vs Randy Orton was pretty good and I was glad to see Mark Henry win in his first title defense. He is indeed a force to be reckoned with in the WWE.

I was glad to see Beth Phoenix beat Kelly Kelly for the divas title. I thought it made up for the last two ppv's where they faced each other.

The triple threat match was probably the best match of the night. I tell you Alberto Del Rio was pretty clever locking out John Cena outside the cell then taking out CM Punk to pick up the victory and regain the title.

After that chaos broke out when The Miz and R-truth came out and attacked Cena, Del Rio, and CM Punk. I tell you it was chaotic as hell when everyone came out of that locker room. After the police finally unlocked the door the Miz and R-Truth surrendered but Triple H evidently wanted to beat the crap out of them as they had to restrain him as well.

I thought it was kind of stupid that they ended it 23 minutes early. But regardless it was a pretty good PPV.

I have the same thing too. Wait 'til Vengeance 2011 is come out on the 23rd (24th in Manila) this month. Gotta wait for the post-Hell in A Cell results on Raw SuperShow on Tuesday.

ugh... this was a lot of fail
Henry and Orton were fine... I liked that they FINALLY gave the belt to Beth, even though I'm still pissed about last month's Divas thing... everything else was just a giant bag of confusion.

Sheamus vs Christian was a whole bunch of okay
The Sin Cara mirror match was just amusing to me for the absolute wrong reasons
The Tag Team...
Henry and Orton was fine at least
I like the Vintage Intercontinental title
Beth finally beat Kelly, and I'm okay with this, I don't like Kelly and Eve's thing anymore... they're squashing people for no reason and I don't understand why
Punk always holds together a match well, just wish Cena did, at least Del Rio did his part well. only bad part is that we're in Rematch Hell right now...
WTF is with the ending... that didn't resolve jack...

Only saw the later half of the program but from what I've read, I probably watched the worse half. D: I'll try to catch a replay later.

  • I know Randy could've won, if only he actually tried to take something from under the ring and used it as a weapon. But Mark Henry capitalized and that got him the victory. At least he didn't enter the Hall of Pain (And seeing Henry call out Big Show the next night, I think this feud's over).
  • My opinion only, but they should've let Morrison won this one, even if he's to lose it on a rematch. the direction of the following matches, I was surprised I didn't switch the channel. But if anything, I wasn't envious of the crowd because they got a shot of that $500 shirt. it was because they didn't have to hear the thoughts of Michael Cole's warped mind. Oh my God, if there's anything I hated the most during that match, it was his rambling.
  • I wouldn't mind this match. I would've been cool with Beth Phoenix winning the title if it was clean. But it wasn't. Natalya hit Kelly with a mic. And that made a loud noise I couldn't believe the referee didn't got curious and turn around.....Yeah. The first thing I said to myself afterwards was "Rematch clause at Vengeance".
  • The Raw episode before the program, del Rio swore that it's his destiny to beat the hell out of Cena. But then on said match, del Rio locked Cena out of the Cell. Sure it was smart, but again, del Rio simply could not do it without the help of Ricardo Rodriguez. I guess I could be a bit happier in the end since Cena charged in to beat up del Rio. Then Miz and R-truth did. And I was silenced as the whole thing fell into chaos.

So yeah. I'm disappointed. But hopefully, WWE would make it up in Vengeance. No, not Summerslam good. Not Night of Champions good. Better than those two. If possible, combined.
