I caught some of the HDremix finals and the SFIV top 8 on the live stream. That Jwong vs Daigo got soooo hyped when Justin won set one.

There's been many threads about this on /v/, didn't think one would come here though.

Only part I caught was where some group at the end of a MVC2 physically broke the Dreamcast they were using, but I think that was toward the end of some match.  I was browsing on justin.tv and caught that @.@

History Lesson by Professor Azuyuki:

If many of you don't know, EVO had a history of "Blue Screens" where the Dreamcast would suddenly stop mid match for no reason. A pause of course would usually end the round but in this case the dreamcast did it, not the players so basically it would be a stupid factor in a match.

Come 2009, MvC2 is anounced for XBOX Live Arcade and PSN in the Dreamcast version (the version closest to the Arcade version), therefore after EVO 2009, there's no point in using the Dreamcast version anymore thus, they proceeded to destroy one.

But yeah, some fans didn't like this, especially Yipes, one of the top three Marvel players and the one famous for coining "IT'S MAHVAL BABY!"

So yeah lesson over.

What a waste of a system you can't buy anymore.

Scrolling and refreshing /v/, the word HeartNana catches my eye.

The man's a prolific player in blazblue and arcana heart in the states. He's got a spot in SBO that's coming up soon. Here's me rooting for you, Rob. REPPIN' DA TEAM AMERICA.

It seems so..
A Dreamcast is now a Console Collector's Item(It's quite hard to find one)
To relax and do nothing is the greatest luxury:)

I thought the controllers were arcade sticks, they use joypads to play?

It's "Bring Your Own Controller" in some cases, people would choose pad over stick, especially for Tekken and Soul Calibur.

Joypad doesn't affect your performance in those two games though, they aren't directional intensive.
