The iDOLM@STER Anime Ep: 08 discussion

Ara, Ara.

Well that was a fun episode! That felt like some sort of level in Ouendan. Crazy, hectic, full of nonsense, and just overall fun. Luckily for this episode, there was also a ton of Miki screen time, which never hurts. Ever.

ED was nice too! This episode feels like B++. 89.9.

I can't give it an A because this wasn't about Miki.

It's all pretty messy but I love the action scenes!

Though one could never understand this. This IS an Azusa episode and I understand why Miki's in it but I don't understand why Makoto's in it. I mean she's not friends with her or anything.

Every episode I've seen in the anime, the main idol is with her best friends or idols that she's close with.

Unless they're telling me that there is no special episode for Makoto and they're seeping in little bits of it here and there.

The action scenes were kickass awesome! Though, it was very hectic too. The overall product was still awesome though.

Azusa in a wedding dress seems to have magical powers. Not that I'm complaining though. :D

The guard didn't seem to bother looking up an inch at the very beginning. Ufufu...

As for why Makoto is involved alot, perhaps it is because Makoto is the only one in the group that could handle action scenes? (Side from possibly Hibiki anyway?) And I believe Makoto and Azusa shared a CD, so possibly they gained a boost to their relationship there too?

Like I said at the other thread, we get a guadruple dose of insert-songs!
Days! Just a few days away!

Well...When I watched the subbed ver, it said that they needed a 'man' for the wedding shoot, But, they didn't have one. So, they added Makoto in there. :D

Why did Makoto start fighting anyway? Did I miss something maybe?

Well, Makoto thought the guards took Azusa somewhere, and the guards thought Makoto was trying to steal the ring.

This episode was epic. It's my new favorite.

Them Japs are complaining about this episode's fight scenes...

("They're not doing it seriously!"
"That guard's not even punching, he's just putting his hand in front!"
"I couldn't believe they just made such an ugly fighting scene! The preview made it worth watching, in the end it's an ugly mess. How unbelievable."
"If you can't make a good fighting scene, then don't show it to people! Isn't it embarrassing?"
"Why is the gif images being liked? Those people have no taste...For all they care is that as long as it moves."
"iM@S D-")

...Seriously guys. If you don't like the anime that badly, then don't watch it.

I might be partial because I adore Azusa, Miki, Makoto, and simply love girls in wedding dresses...but that was the best episode ever!

The action fighting scenes were better animated than the dancing scenes in other episodes IMO.
So what if they "weren't realistic". That was hardcore action for an anime that is supposed to be about idols.

Looking forward to the next eps!

I'm a little late on this but I will post my thought on it.

Overall I thought it was a pretty good episode. Although i'm not a fan of Makoto, I actually kind of like her a little more after seeing those fight scenes. XD

Plus Azusa looked pretty lovely in that wedding dress. I'm pretty sure you Azusa fans would agree with that.  ;)

So overall I give this episode an 8/10

Actually, they aren't exactly complaining... well, they are, but at the same time they aren't. Basically, that Yaraon post is comparing the dedicated Idolm@ster thread to the general animation thread; the people in the Idolm@ster thread are saying "coolest scene ever!" and "awesome" while the people in the animation thread are saying "why do people like this scene?" "the gravity is completely fucked up!" and the rest of the stuff you translated. To be fair, though, that .gif is pretty bad and fucks up the framerate. This .gif is much better:
