The iDOLM@STER Anime Ep: 03 discussion
Saturos:
I was kind of annoyed at how extreme Yukiho's fear was. But, I got over it at the end with her performance.
Also, I think I'm starting to like Miki more. Sleep effing everywhere ftw?!
And...
Damn oldies trying to take Azu-san! D:
Oh yeah, I rate 6/10 out of sincerity. Could've been better.
Also, "Umattemasu" relevantly means to dig a hole, ne?.. I searched it after posting it ambiguously on FB and I got back "a girl longing for someone" or something -_-; and quickly deleted it.

--- Quote from: Scotty ----Talk about the worst character development ever, huh?
-I missed old Yukiho this much throughout that whole episode.
-The most awkward transition from shy and fearful to headstrong and motivated I have ever seen ever.
-I'm also not liking how the show just has to show every single idol all the time

^THIS. ALL OF THIS.
This episode really painted Yukiho out as a rape victim or something. Which I thought it was interesting she was more afraid of the dog then the MALE children, even when they appeared again. However any of the adult males she just flipped her lid about. Especially her hallucinations of them being demons, it just had some creepy undertones that something really bad happened to her. With a fear painted that strong, I have no idea how she was able to get over it that fast. I could have understood if maybe the Tea Haruka & Makoto gave her was spiked with liquor, making her open up a bit...that would have been a more entertaining conclusion no offense.
With Yukiho aside, a very confusing episode in how it was structured. The last episode focused on the loli-trio quite well, and in this episode it seemed like they were trying to focus on Makoto, Haruka, and Yukiho as a whole. However it felt like Iori and the twins kept stealing scenes throughout the whole show. Also I'm not sure why they were upset about not having the right clothes, when in the last episode, the moral seemed to be "It's not what you wear, but what's on the inside."
I'm also a bit worried about the formula they seem to be following. It reminds me of Doki Doki School Hours in how each episode would revolve around an event, and each character in the giant cast would act out their quirks in response to that event. Episode 2 and 3 seemed to follow that formula, and the preview for episode 4 seems to say the same. Not that it's a bad way to handle all these characters, it's just we're not going to get much depth in this format. Shame they didn't keep the format of the first episode and just swap the POV amongst the idols each episode.
Overall episode 3 was a very average anime episode sadly...

Because they forgot the correct stage clothes. That's it. They probably wanted them to wear the concert clothing they'd bought. It's not exactly the same, but I wouldn't want to come to a choir concert not wearing the right outfit (although wearing informal clothing here really worked out and was appropriate enough anyway).
I wanted to punch Yukiho so many times in the face this time. Like you guys were kind of getting at, unless she had a traumatic past, there's no reason she should have these phobias. Although I really liked when she sang ALRIGHT.
Ghift:
I enjoyed the episode and Yukiho amused me for a while, but I did find myself going "Oh for God's sake Yukiho" when she nutted up then SUDDENLY. A TINY DACHSHUND IN THE CROWD. That's about when she hit annoying for me, but she nutted up again soon after so it was okay I guess.
Alright* caught me off guard and I fully expected a shitstorm over Azumin singing it but it looks like the majority were kind of okay with it.
Also sweet jesus my ears when they started screaming. I actually had to pull my headset away from my ear when all three screamed.

They really should have traded the dachshund for a bulldog or something.
