The iDOLM@STER Anime Ep: 03 discussion

Scotty:
Talk about the worst character development ever, huh?

I missed old Yukiho this much throughout that whole episode. Newkiho's voice was just the most irritating sound I've heard this week. (I've spent 6 hours on a plane this week by the way.)
Well, at least there was Miki. She always makes everything better.

This could have been a great episode, it really could have! No, really! I'm not lying! Here, let me tell you how:
1. Could have explained Yukiho's quirks.
2. Could have talked about Yukiho's past.
3. Could have explained Yukiho's fears.

Ep. 2 had a little Iori back story. Sure, it was probably only a sentence or two, and it actually wasn't needed at all for that episode's plot, but at least it was there. This one was basically begging for an explanation as to why Yukiho is such a burden to everyone. (Let's not kid ourselves here. You too would find working with someone like this annoying.) And what did we get? The most awkward transition from shy and fearful to headstrong and motivated I have ever seen ever. A pinky promise. Really.

I'm also not liking how the show just has to show every single idol all the time, as if fearing the wrath of any particular idol's fans. I could go without seeing certain idols a whole episode, honest. Just use that extra time for more meaningful scenes. Please~!

Discuss Ep. 3 here.

Edit: Forgot to rate!

5/10.

Clear Blue:
I could see lots of funny faces from this episode. (And exceptional Miki shots.)

As I've said in the other thread.

I liked this episode, but only because of my Yukiho bias.

blake307:
I really enjoyed this episode. Poor Yukiho, she really can't handle dogs and men by herself. D:

But I was really touched by how she was able to gain the courage to stand out in front of the crowd in front of men after the produce gave her some courage.

So overall I give this episode an 8/10.

Ch@osM@ster:
I actually have to agree with almost everything that Scotty said.

This episode just gave me more of a reason not to like Yukiho. Maybe it's because of my irritation with overly-shy and crybaby characters.

Not only that, but this episode was so predictable/cliche, I literally knew the ending before it actually happened. The only part of this episode that I liked/giggled at was the Iori-Cutting-Onions scene. The rest IMO? Boring.

I give this episode a 2/10.
