I like how you can have a set playlist while you're taking photos, including the old songs. I wonder if you can take photos in a different setting than the beach and with different outfits? Or the possibility to have more than 1 idol in a photo? Maybe it's something they haven't shown us yet, or possible downloadable content for later. Way to make more money NBGI...
I'd think it's only the beach and only the swimsuits -- that being said "Gravure For You" doesn't really set that in stone by itself, does it? Whenever I hear "Gravure" I only think of the only ways I've ever seen "gravure idols" (in swimsuits) and the gravure swimsuit from iM@S.

I think it would be great for them to release something like this with just the normal stage clothes and/or the normal stages. Or their casuals, even. From watching the gameplay video, it actually kinda looks like fun. But I wouldn't pay extra for it unless it did have more stages/costumes/etc. Come ON, NBGI. I know it's summer but do less stuff with swimsuits D:

Oh, but I do want to know if you can pick what idol is singing what song, or if it's all preset. And why "I WANT" is now "HARUKA RedMIX"?

The fact it's G4U Vol. 1 makes me think it's yet another DLC mine. Though, if a future update gave me different locations and outfits I wouldn't complain - maybe based around seasonal things?

After watching the video I'm a bit convinced...Although, does it allow you to set realistic camera settings. If you look carefully in the photo with Haruka laying down, there is depth of field, but in the other pictures you can see the background clearly.

The video looks nice :3
I want that game too but it's only in the LE of IM@S2 and that's too expensive... Let's hope that Bamco releases the game later but with more locations (not only the beach) and more clothes to choose for the girls to wear for the photo shootings.

currently (re-)playing: Haruka naru Toki no Naka de 5 (PSP), Jyuuza Engi (PSP)

And why "I WANT" is now "HARUKA RedMIX"?

Look below the "Now Playing" image, it says it's a DJ MIX, most likely a mix set of Haruka personal/image songs?  However it doesn't help that they cut away to another idol, so no idea if it's just a playlist inside a playlist or something professionally mixed.  Also it doesn't look like you can switch who sings the song around, all the BGMs that played in the preview matched who sings the song on the playlist.

The definition of a gravure isn't swimsuit. Honestly, a gravure idol is just a model that poses in magazines, calendars, photobooks, idol DVDs, etc. They usually try to dress 'em up sexy, so, yeah, swimsuits are very common. But a model who is posing in a normal schoolgirl outfit can also be called a gravure idol in Japan.

Speaking of which, I do expect one of the volumes to be in a schoolgirl outfit. Which one, however, is the question.

I find it amusing for some stupid reason that READY!! is next to Ai Like Hamburger. You know, like the hamburger is ready to eat? I imagine Yayoi's eyes growing as big as her head in excitement.

It would be really nice if it was something professionally mixed...that'd be awesome XD Better than it being a playlist in a playlist, but I'm not going to get my hopes up too far for that one.

"ARE YOU READY? I'M LADY!"
Is that really how the lyrics go??? :|

I'd buy a schoolgirl outfit one...though, I guess it really does depend on which one. My favorite iM@S school uniform is gone, I think XD I wonder if they'll ever release G4U's on the 360...

and I'm still dying to know how they'll do DLC for both consoles. Same content for both every month (which would probably mean no READY!! for 360)? Different content meaning exclusive stuff for each version? More and more broke iM@S fans every month? All I'm really hoping for is that they do their price cut on the first 3 catalogs when the PS3 version comes out. It wouldn't make much sense to leave them at full price (or imo any price at all) after October.

"I'M LADY!" Seriously? I thought they were saying, "Are you ready? I'm ready!" Hopefully it's just a typo. XD

Maybe they'll release READY!! for the 360 months after the PS3 release. I think it would be better if they just had the same DLC content in each version, because if you only have one version and they release really good DLC for the other, it kills you inside. Or they could have the same DLC, but stagger their releases, such as the PS3 being one catalog ahead of the 360 (so more people would buy it for that exclusive).
And it's only fair that they cut the prices of DLC Catalogs #1-#3. If you get the DLC for free on the PS3 and it's still at full-price for the 360, that just seems like a slap in the face for 360 users. :P

Now now, it would be nice but we can't be too greedy. It's not fair to those who spent a ton of money on DLC who own the 360 version, and NBGI need to make money somehow.  XD Would've been nice to get Kyun! Vampire Girl as a bonus in there though.

It is only a wish... XD But you're right... it could be really nice to get Kyun! Vampire Girl as a bonus... It's one of my favourite DLC songs :3

Notice how the lyric right after says "765" and some other Japanese? They're probably showing the lyrics of another part of the song or something.

It wouldn't make much sense to leave them at full price (or imo any price at all) after October.

I'm thinking that both consoles will get more or less identical catalogs each month. I just see one of two possibilities happening.

1) On PS3 game release day, all catalogs 4 and up will be released for PS3 so PS3 can catch up to the 360 game.
-OR-
2) PS3 "catch up" with catalogs 4 and up by releasing things from the earlier catalogs in the PS3 version of the latest catalog. Eventually, PS3 will be completely caught up.

An example of the second one is maybe PS3 will get the latest 360 catalog (what number will we be at by then - catalog 10?) but the PS3 version of the catalog might have some stuff from catalog 4 in it.

(Side comment: I always wondered why they didn't save catalog 4 for release end of September so it'll be out in October but whatever! I can't complain!)

I'm also thinking READY!! may end up being PS3 exclusive. Bandai Namco is sort of known for releasing exclusives on PS3 re-releases. I *hope* it isn't true. After all, the 360 version only has had 1 DLC song so far that works with quintets (Honey Heartbeat). There's so few quintet songs that I really would like to see READY!! on 360. I feel like PS3 users wouldn't have anything to complain about if 360 did get it. After all, 360 users would have to pay 1200 MSP for it. I think it's fair. But, as a 360 player who doesn't intend to convert to the PS3 version, I'm biased.  ;D

Now now, it would be nice but we can't be too greedy. It's not fair to those who spent a ton of money on DLC who own the 360 version, and NBGI need to make money somehow.  XD Would've been nice to get Kyun! Vampire Girl as a bonus in there though.

My bet is they did this on purpose. Just looking at the number of videos for it on YouTube and NicoNico and the number of times I see it listed on the 360 PV leaderboards, it feels like that song probably sold *really* well on the 360. If they can make the PS3 users pay for it as DLC too, why not?
