Does anyone know what the notice at the beginning of the game says? It's curious to say the least.

My copy probably won't be here for at least another week but.... if you post a picture I could t/l it for you.   :D

There you go, that's the notice that I'm talking about.

I'm not entirely sure what it is. The date doesn't signify anything in particular to me, since a lot's happened. For all I know it's referring to copyright law.

Oooooo that!  Yeah, it's a copyright law notification.  The laws changed in Japan recently so that it's illegal to not only distro pirated software but to download it as well.  I can't say if it is all games but a lot of the Japanese games I've bought since the law changed have this warning regardless of platform.

It says:
Warning
In accordance with the Copyright Act Article 113 Paragraph 1, it is illegal to distribute game software through the Internet without the consent of the copyright owner.  Also, in accordance with a revision made to the Copyright Act, as of January, 2010, it is also illegal to download known pirated software distributed illegally online regardless of if it is for personal backup/multiple copies or not.  We ask for everyone's understanding and cooperation in this matter.

It's a bit odd only because it's not present in the 360 version of the game. It should have shown up in the 360s case, which was the only reason why it seems so odd.

My copy shipped last night; I expect it to arrive in a week or two.  But I'm not quite ready... I haven't decided on a trio yet.  Gotta balance between the following:
  • whose ending and commus I want to see
  • likable voice and personality (including how they sound during lessons since I'm going to be doing a lot of them)
  • whether the voices harmonize well, based on the available songs
  • other aesthetics

First order of business will be to figure out how to avoid deleting my data.

haha this is kind of my conundrum right now too a little. I also don't wanna pick an idol I love to pieces and ruin my first run with her either. ;w;

semi-related side note: thought about getting Kami SUMMER!! right away, but after going through a shit load of trouble to find out my current PSN yen balance, I only have 50 yen... ahahahaaaa... orz Guess I'm gonna hold off getting DLC until christmas.

I found that lately, there've been copyright notices hitting their way into a few newer games out of Japan...

... though come to think of it, the only precedent I have to go on that by are all games by NBGI that came out this year. (Just by memory.)

My first mistake in perfect sun! Lol
I am for sure doing Haruka, Yayoi, and Miki for memory's sake!

To be honest I'm sorta sick of READY! after repeated abuse of the demo, so I might do that as my final song.

I think it's not as easy to do in iM@S2 XD I don't think there's a "delete producer data" option anywhere, you just have to delete it from your harddrive or something. I could be wrong, but I haven't found one anywhere.

Also, it's not like you save your idols' data for office mode or anything, so you don't have to worry about overwriting your beautifully crafted S-rank idol, either \o/ I'd always get so confused after finishing an SP playthrough.

Sort of.

It's always sort of. Basically, upon completing a tour of duty (of 55 weeks) to save a ranking score (Which in turn determines what level producer you end up being) your idol team disappears.

Now, here's the problem. There is NO WAY of saving that data. *

To boot, save files in im@s 2 are singular per run. You can't make for example two files in tandem of the same group in the same run.

Now, failing to do this means that you can't producer rank up (It won't commit the rank you earnt for that run until you save the file, which means you lose the savefile of the idol group. It's a trade in.)

All S4U and any im@s2 storymode performances can be saved seperately. It'll even tell you stats of what you earnt in terms of fans, sales and where you did the performance.

You could, in theory make up to 5 (I think?) runs which stop at week 54 (But you wouldn't be able to gain any producer ranks until after you started clearing them.)

If you're worried about the 360 bug where sometimes it won't detect the save file, and assume it's a new installation... When you see a prompt to input your name (as if you started the game for the first time), just quit the game, or reset it. It'll find it again when given a chance. You could always back it up I guess.

*Well, not quite. You could in theory pull off the save file to copy to a PSP or perhaps a USB, but that has issues of sorts, namely you're stuck with the ranking at that point. Certain items won't be accessible until you have a certain rank, but they're usually DLC item related.

might be me but i think they also changed a few things in term of storyline.

Im only going by this wiki at the storyline.

It say that Hell training and the audition happens during week 39- 40. However when i got to that point it happened between 38-39 and a free week after that.

I dont own a 360 so i cant realyl say anything about that.

Normal is almost easy mode actually - You don't suffer morale loss on any losses, but you can't S rank any catergory.

More likely though is that if you make a top 20 before the end of week 40, you qualify for the IA, and don't have to audition for the wildcard spot.

Wait, so Normal is a new easy mode, and Hyper is the default 360 difficulty? I had no idea! The names are not indicative of that at all. Guess I will start over; at least I wasn't far at all.

Sort of. I imagine that since the unlocks for Ritsuko are different, you might have to play through normal once anyway to unlock Smokey Thrill and the Dragon Palace Extend costume. I might be wrong on that count.

I stand corrected - The costume and song unlocks are done via the extra episodes. It IS a lot harder though, and doing them off the bat is considered a bad, bad idea...
