I know PSP games don't piggyback, I'm not sure about PS3 games though. A friend of mine claims they do.

Every iM@S game uses Asian layout, it doesn't make sense it they didn't.
Remember that circle equals correct and x equalling incorrect.
Changing x to accept would also be counterintuitive; x is currently used for skipping text, the other 3 buttons are for making choices during commus. Choices are put in a triangular layout corresponding with the upper three buttons, by changing the accept button the button associated with the most right choice would in turn become X.

I'm hoping the asian version comes with an english control sheet like SP.
When the demo comes out, can someone please map the basic controls?

There's no real usage for extra buttons nor for six-axis quirks in this game imo and I doubt the overall layout would be different from the 360 version.

While this is possible, most games hardcode the confirm button because basing it on the system is silly.

Unfortunately, the PS3 is nortorious for doing some weird, weird system quirks.

If you want confusing, consider this - In a lot of PS3 Japanese imports I play, Circle is confirm and X is cancel... Until I get to the save screen.

It will then reverse JUST for the save. It catches you out a lot, if you're used to doing things on automatic (and it gets really confusing when the reverse happens on your PSP)

As well, it's also been known that some games will softcode cancel - Project Diva: Dreamy Theatre 1 (for some weird reason) reverses the cancel/OK buttons depending on what region you're on.

So yes, hopefully they're smart enough to realise to hard code it (for layout reasons) although if you wanted a 'anti importing measure' that's a half decent way to screw with the importers...

I'm not sure why a company wouldn't want people to import, all it is is more sales.
