IMO: G4U isn't worth the money. Is it cute? yeah. But I'd probably get tired of it fast enough. But if this is your thing go right ahead b(=^=)b

I agree. As much as I'd love to have it, once I get bored of the beach setting, having to buy BluRays just to get something new and having to buy the LE to get G4U in the first place just isn't worth it. I want to take pretty-pretty pictures, but I suppose I can enjoy the ones others take as well.

Or, just an idea, but maybe for those who plan on getting the LE, there could be picture requests for different idols and poses? Assuming there's a way to upload them. Kind of like S4U video requests.

I dunno if anyone is willing to work their butts off for picture requests, but I do know that they can easily be transferred to a memory stick or something and put onto the computer / phone / whatever. It showed it in the commercial XD

This. Since the pictures are so variable (pose, position of camera, depth of field) it would be really hard to make the pictures exactly what people want.

The only thing I don't get about G4U is why they are using it as a blatant money grab, to help push up sales of the im@s anime BluRays. At least, it feels that way to me. PS3 BluRay game discs can hold a lot of data. One volume of G4U isn't going to be using much space on a BluRay. They easily could've made a Live 4 You style "game" that would combine ALL of the G4U volumes and just sell it at full PS3 game price. That would still be a tad expensive for what is ultimately picture creation software, but at least it would probably be a good compromise at profit for Bandai Namco and making something that fans buy for the fanservice. It would probably sell quite a few copies too.

Bandai Namco does make great games, but sometimes they aren't very fan friendly with the things they do.

I think it's a really neat idea, but with the yen hovering between 75 and 76 yen to the dollar, I can't really support it by buying it. I'm sure they're pricing out some of the Japanese fans with the high cost as well.

Pondered it (Yeah, I've had a lot of family issues lately. I really, REALLY want my life back) although I do have more than a few reservations this time around about opening such a service.

Then again, I'm nearly 3 catalogs behind, so I'm in enough work as it is. I'll have to think about it, simply on cost grounds. That and to be honest, I've yet to figure out a workable system, and I also have concerns about cost shifting.

Oh, and sorry I couldn't reply on the page, but if you wanted a video I uploaded, I do have the master I used to make it. If you rather use that instead of the youtube just let me know. I'd advise it in any case, simply on the grounds of 'Too much detail loss' but that's just me.

I pre-ordered the LE from AmiAmi and looking forward to it. As for the DLC, I will likly not bother with the PS3 DLC, simply because I use it to record the videos,  and I can get better quality videos from the Xbox (HDMI caps Vs compoenent). I like AmiAmi becuase theres the chance of the shop exclusives, which they get as there local, where as yesasia and play asia are not.

On the subject of porting, I know they said its a total remake, but the original arcade imas hardware was a modified PS2, no idea if any of that is usable or not however.
The region locking dosnt bother me much as my PS3 is an NTSC-J Asia model, so unless they lock the JP edition to JP consoles, which is very unlikly, it shouldnt be an issue. No idea how i'm going to play the BD, can't remember if its the same region or not Singapore -> Japan.

G4U may well end up on the PSN as well, I doubt the *only* way to get it will be with the anime, that seems a little too limited, and it would limit them to the Anime's sucess.

As for the PS3 ver in general, i wasnt surprised, they have had the imas store on PSN for SP, and the SP stuff in PS Home has been there ages and was still there a couple months back, I not looked recently to see if theres anything new, hope there is or will be. Anyone been to Namco's area in Home recently?

I like amiami too since their prices usually don't suck and they have their exclusives and stuff. However I am not getting the LE because I want that Haruka figure and the Iori one coming out in Feb.

Haven't gone on Home since the PSN outage. Took forever for HK to get back online.

I am interested in these figures too, is there a Yukiho and Chihaya one due too? If it looks like the old Yukiho I'd buy it lol

Plus I like the new RK costumes. They look pretty neat I must say.
