I'll put my hopes in that they'll release a master-box sort of thing for G4U with all-in-one. Or that the conversion rate stops sucking.

I want to be excited for the PS3 release and all but everything surrounding it is too darn expensive XD

Well, welcome to the rest of the world - Japan's always been absurdly expensive, but that's due to factors outside the gaming industry as a whole (Think international finance, and you might understand some of it)

As for me? It's still expensive, but then again, I live in a country where games sell for about 100 US give or take a bit, so paying about the same for imports is... well, expected.

Gah - the more I think about this and see this topic - the more I want this game!! :X There is NO WAY I can afford that preorder package though (which is killing me) - unless I magically get a job and decide to treat myself majorly x__x Also this is assuming this game won't be region locked on the ps3... I mean - I know the ps3 isn't region locked - but if they start region locking certain games I'm gonna have to head to their HQ and make a big deal out of it! ;O XD

This has been worrying me. And also the fact that it could be a porting disaster. It's in Namco's past after all...

I want to preorder it this time though because last time it was sold out for several months before I could get a copy and I still never got around to it.

I wonder...do you think they'll make another official fanbook for the ps3 version?
I don't know what the fanbook looks like but if there's xbox stuff in it, it may be confusing.

Unless the dollar completely collapses, I am getting the game.  But I don't think I am going to pre-order it - I have plenty to keep me occupied in the meantime, and I can't read Japanese, so I'd be struggling with a walkthrough anyway.  I'm a bit worried about region locking, but I'm a lot more worried about the possibility of PS3-only glitches.  So I'm going to let other people test it out first.

I definitely don't mind used unless they ran their disk through a woodcutter or something...I guess some people don't like buying used stuff, but so long as the game works, I'm good XD

I can wait eons to buy the PS3 release, even longer if they at least slash prices on those first 3 catalogs in October. Well...unless it pops up for really cheap like the 360 version did. Wasn't it spotted for like ￥2500 somewhere a while ago?

I honestly wonder if Play-Asia will ever sell out of the limited edition. XD Or how much they'll drop the prices in an attempt to do so.

To be honest, they DID drop the price of im@s L4U stuff about six months (nine I think actually, and I believe it dropped prior to 2's announcement) ago, so if you really want to sit tight catalog wise, do so. I'd recommend it.

The L4U footage is still usable even now on a MAD basis, so that probably goes to show that there's still some value in it. Granted, there'd be no fun in that, but well, discounts usually mean you get handicapped in some way...

Yeah but I've seen great m@ds using im@s2. M@d creators have been getting crafty.
There's even been amvs that have popped up in the weekly ranking.
