I think we all get the prices are gonna suck when converted, but I think the upside from amiami is that it's a raw conversion, allowed to fluctuate with the rates instead of being set by a company having to compensate for the rates. Looking at Play-Asia's pricing for PSP games honestly bothers me, PJDe would cost me about as much as a PS3 game here (raw conversion is 56, their price is 61), and that's all without shipping costs involved.

I really hope the conversion rates get better.

I want the limited edition version but the only thing I want is the game and g4u which I assume will be available in other volumes as DLC.

I've been wanting the yen vs dollar rates to get better for a while. But they've only been getting worse and have just been slowly dropping over the past few years. Unfortunately, I don't see it getting better anytime soon. The US dollar isn't doing so hot. The only way we'd have a chance is if the yen started doing really poorly.  :'(

The upside though is if the PS3 version truly ends up being region free, at least those people out there who don't have a Japanese or Asian Xbox 360 can finally play im@s 2!

ooh, and they have the limited edition for $298.99! What a steal! kidding...

I bet there's no real difference between the Asian and Japanese versions of the game. Like...when I bought iM@S2's LE, I got the Asian version, and the only differences were that the "Sparkle Package" sticker was in Chinese, and (for whatever reason) there's no ESRB-rating-thing on the box. XD

When I got Wandering Star's Asian version, the package was in Chinese and it came with an English pamphlet. Otherwise, the game itself was exactly the same (I got Perfect Sun & Missing Moon in Japanese versions).

Alright. When I got Perfect Sun I had a coupon for free DLC so I used it but I had to have an asian account so I just got one.
So now I want the asian version so I can get the DLC again.

I have a special japanese account for this stuff.

Hrm... Well if the Asian version is same game, just different packaging languages then I might just get that one. It's a hell of a lot cheaper.

My last convention didn't bring in as much money as I thought it would, so it looks like I'll be missing out on G4U =( I'll probably wait on ordering the standard edition then, since I doubt I'll have enough money by Oct 27 to put an order down.

I figure they'll still have copies of the game 2 or 3 months after the initial release...right?

Volume 2 of Gravure 4 You is going to be school outfits + school bathing suits. You have to get it by buying volume 2 of the im@s anime BluRay. No pics of it yet, but here's where I got the info. This site is one of the best English language Japanese import video game sites out there, so it's probably reliable. Haven't seen the info elsewhere just yet.

So for each volume of G4U, you have to buy an iM@S anime BluRay? And I can't scrap up enough money for the limited edition just to get the first... D: *still keeping fingers crossed that one day they'll release G4U as DLC or an add-on game* Maybe after all the BluRay discs are released, but...
