Actually, it'd be the opposite. Scamco would make more money that way. The previous games' re-releases also gives credence to this.

By extra, not new. Just stuff that's already in the game usually.

the best edition is coming out august 2nd, so if you don't already have it maybe go for this copy? It's a lot cheaper than the regular version... for some reason. i know I'm getting it.

I scream since I paid like $90 when it first came out last year... but oh well, it wasn't a big deal since it was a Christmas present.

Still, I have doubts in Namco putting extra content in the rerelease. They didn't do it with SP since it's basically the same game... but we'll see.

There probably isn't extra content. The Best editions are the Japanese equivalent of the US's Greatest Hits.
Meaning it's a cheaper reprint, with ugly as all hell cover art.

There's no way they would do that for the Best Edition. The most we could hope for is DLC.

Actually if I recall, didn't the "Best" editions of SP come with Overmaster for each of the lead idols.  I mean, it would be very plausible for them to include extra DLC on the disk for Im@s2.

I have all 3 versions of the "Best" editions of SP and none of them came with Overmaster for each of the lead idols, unfortunately. I wish it did, or at least even for Takane, Miki, and Hibiki in Office Mode. :/
