Idolm@ster 2 on PS3
Funkies:
Brand New Day! has far less instrumentation (either realistic or electronic) than previous anime-related DLC songs. I think it comes off with less umpf as well without having a proper "performance" in the anime (instead there was a Hibiki slideshow). BND seems to have more of a traditional setup, were the "vocal" portion is the prominent aspect that moves the arrangement forward. They gave it a pretty nice performance in my opinion, and I like that the "lead" does not necessarily take the most central position as well. Instead all three performers are pretty well represented, which is groovy.
I expected the DLC to ramp down in tone if it were to stay anime related. It's somewhat related to my opinion of the anime, though that's not the focus of this thread. I quite like it myself, definitely does not disappoint from the trailer.
That strut... I love that strut they do. Eri's neat too, always liked Precog quite a bit.

Well, I might note that I've think I've said that they have a contract until June with Sony for promotional purposes for the anime. I have to check if it's still true. Now that leaves, what, March, April, May and June? I forget.
There's still a few other things still outstanding as well... and I'm hoping that my condition improves enough for me to finally do some work (early compared to how long I should be waiting but I'm tired of sitting around and geting paid to do nothing.)
Neko-P:
... my question: Does anyone else want "World of Pain" and "Living Dead" to be actual songs? I remember those being in the game's Top 100 list as a Cineria reference, and, with the Dearly Stars characters showing up now, I'm wondering if they'll use that reference for real. (Of course, it wouldn't happen for a while, probably not until whatever they're planning for the DS girls (and Ryo) happens...)
Just a thought that was brought on by a lot of recent Dearly Stars research for a fanfic I'm thinking of writing...
JNiles:
Hmm, that's an interesting idea. I remember looking up at the leaderboard and wondering, "Why is this song kicking my ass??" I would like to see a song that justifies such lofty sales.

That makes sense, seeing as how the Blu-rays finish come June. While I have no adverse feelings towards the anime-content (they do have that tasty increased production value to the music), it would be nice to see some non-animoot songs pop up. A variety is good, whatever it is. That or if they'll ever catch up to the 360 DLC for the PS3. I Want to have Colorful Days while I L・O・B・M my money to the NBGI Overmaster for Kyun! Vampire Girl.
All of it.

I hope ya feel (and get) better soon!
