That's exactly what I do.

Elixir:

--- Quote from: Setsuna on January 31, 2012, 09:31:13 pm ---I've already maintain a full catalog at both ends as it is. I have a full catalog (Yes, injury aside. I'm slowly managing to manipulate a PS3 controller) at both ends now, so sharing would essentially be 'here's a free copy' and let's face it, if I said that, I bet people would be lining up for a free quarter of a million yen or more. (Well, each catalog on PS3 is 10k about yen, and if we count up X360's im@s2 catalogs at about 10000 yen each and L4U at about 7000 and SP's at about 9000...)

Now it WOULD be fun to watch everyone try to be my new best friend (And throughout the last year I've had people do that, very unconvincingly), but let's face it, any sharing would be a one way theft at this point, since there is no inentive on their end to contribute to costs, since I run all purchases on a deadline.

Besides, given the nature of the thread, it wouldn't suprise me that a lot of people marvel at it, since they don't want to pay for it (It's expensive, and if you're not working, paying 150 US a month is well, expensive.)

That's not really what I'm getting at. Gamesharing is the act of purposely making an account to specifically share mutually agreed on pieces of DLC. At the moment, I don't have any, so a lot of options are open if anyone wants to.

--- Quote from: Setsuna on January 31, 2012, 09:31:13 pm ---I recall certain people who in the space of a day claim they hate NBGI forever, claim that DLC is a complete scam, complain why a company should revolve around every wish and desire, then try to convince someone else to share their account, before settling and just making 20 requests through the request thread and/or PM with various people.
--- End quote ---

Wasn't me, I just don(t want to go down the road of L4U again (buy DLC and watch as it slowly gets discounted). I have about 80% of L4U's DLC so I'm not too willing to buy too much iM@S2 DLC unless it's through a share.

For most part, that's what it'd amount to, unless the project is done at the start. Right now it's going to be lopsided unless a specialised share account is made.

And to be fair in L4U's case, it discounted a good 3.5 years after its release (2008 was the game release and Catalog 17 was what, in 2010?) It also only discounted the once.

That's more clearance stock, and a similar model works for Valve. (The discounting THEY try a year or two out is scary.) Most people were more interested in im@s 2 at that point, and L4U was depreciated goods, basically.

But unless you have specific reasons (like I do) to require everything ASAP, you'd be best to get what you want now, and wait for the rest of it.

Problem is if L4U's any indication, we'd be there for about 3 more years. Thing is, I forget but some of SP's stuff STILL hasn't discounted, and that should worry you more.

I totally would if I had the game D8
*goes back to sadly marveling*

I believe L4U was actually discounted twice, once when SP was released, roughly half the catalogue, and the latter half when iM@S2 360 was released.
