Watching it at this moment. Tensions, rivalries, all will be unleashed now! Just saw the Smackdown MitB Match and it was intense! I never expect it to end this way, but I guess Smackdown's MITB can't end in no better way.
My opinions on the match-ups.
- Smackdown MitB was intense. Sin Cara had to be eliminated though by Sheamus via slam through a ladder, but don't worry, karma got him back. XD Barret thought the Corre would work for him one more time, but to no avail. Many times, the briefcase could've been taken, but either they were busy taking on others or were interrupted. Throughout the commentary, Daniel Bryan was marked by Cole as a pest. But guess what? Daniel Bryan. Won. Smackdown's Mitb! I.....I wasn't expecting that, seriously (I had my money on early-dominating Sheamus), but nonetheless, after having to take out Cody and Barret while on the ladder, he secured the briefcase and won!
- Kelly Kelly defends her championship against Brie Bella. Eve was there, but it seems even with the traditional blind sight attacks by the twins, Kelly still retained her championship.
- Mark Henry vs Big Show. This was one heavy match-up. Though Mark Henry defeated the Big Show after two World Strongest Slams and two Splashes, it was a good match. It was okay. I would've left it like that, but Henry wasn't done. He had to seal SHow's leg in a chair, and break said leg. It was a moment killer, folks.
- Everyone armed themsleves with ladders early and decided to attack Del Rio early on. Riley gave Truth a slam to the nut. Evan was like a madman and took out five bundled man from a top ladder. Del Rio charging through a ladder with Kingston in it, but Kingston dodging and Del Rio like a bullet flying off the ring. Mysterio with a 619 on Kingston afterwards. Swagger trying to set in a ladder to the ring but Truth got him with the other end of said ladder. And then an eight-man ladders-in-center-ring for that briefcase. It was....I'm just speechless, man. And how could all that blow out of smoke? Mysetrio and Del Rio. One-on-one on the top of the ladder. Mysterio used the still attached briefcase to attack Del Rio thrice, but Del Rio, being the cheap bastard that he is, took off Mysterio's mask!! People were leaving the ring in disappointment. I mean, they, and subsequently I, don't care if it's Truth, Miz, Swagger or any of the faces. Anyone BUT him!!
- Randy and Christian. Always toe to toe with each other. Stalemate 'till the end. But then Christian had gone way lower already. Randy being disqualified was all he needed. After doing the begging move, Christian spits on Orton. Orton not pleased. Orton went wild but not disqualified. Orton gave Christian a kick to the nut in front of the referee and got disqualified. After the match, Randy just lost it. He went berserk on Christian for a bit. Christian was not at the best of shape afterwards.
- Punk being cheered as a hero. Cena not pleased when he came it. He even threw his shirt to a guy holding a picket that says "If Cena wins we riot" and said guy was hapy about it. lol It was a tough match-up, Cena tried to pin Punk. Punk tried to pin Cena. Cena tried making Punk submit. Punk tried to pin Cena. Repeat for 30 minutes! Heck, I think the commentators were trying to give a lesson out there about being a hero as well. People wanted the WWE Championship Title to stay. Even Cole was anti-Punk tonight. It was all going great, but Vince came in. Vince tried to help, but Cena refused. The time he spent outside the ring was all Punk needed to make Cena go to sleep. Punk wins the championship! There was cheering (It's Punk's hometown, after all) but there was disappointment still.
- Vince was not pleased. He made Del Rio go in and try to cash in his contract early. He came, but Punk kicked him out. The referee never rang the bell. There was still time, according to Cole, but Punk ran off regardless. The program ended from there.
Overall, what can I say? It started great and then went downhill till the end. Just like Capitol Punishment, but unlike MitB, CP had fulfilling ending matches.
