Gah that was a fantastic way to introduce the characters and their personality's. I was wondering how they would handle the producer but it seems to be going pretty well! The animation was well done and the VAs did a great job here.
I can't wait to see where this goes.

Hmm. Not sure what l think about this...but I kinda feel like eating nachos with all this cheese.
I really disliked that they jammed all the characters into the first episode. I would've prefered for the character intros to be spread across two episodes with the producer revelation happening at the end of the second. Oh well, here's hoping episode two would be better.

Waiting to see Producer's perverted side come out and for Azusa to cut her hair.

Also...Can the next DLC be a 7-member version of "The World is One", just like the ending?

Yeah I thought it was cheesy too, but that may partially be due to the fact that all the character quirks featured in the first episode were introduced to me in a more natural way within the game.

I think most people who don't know anything about Idolmaster would find it funny instead. In a "Yukiho with a shovel WTF?!" manner.

Part of the point of an anime series is to introduce more people - whether they reside in Japan or otherwise - to Idolmaster so I'm sure we're going to see some heavy character backstories here eventually. Otherwise the newcomers wouldn't be able to relate to the characters.

I got my roommate to watch it yesterday and he said he was interested in watching more of it.

Can't lie, since ritsuko's so tough when she blushes or speaks softly she is sooo cute! I want to see her being an idol already.

I personally LOVED the first episode (and I keep watching it until the second one comes out >_>) sorry if this has been asked but... does anyone know when exactly each episode airs? Is it a once a week kind of thing? :O I've watched anime before - I just don't think I've ever watched one that has just aired ^^;

It'll air every Thursday in Japan, so... That's Wednesday for us, but it takes about a day for subs to come out so you can bet on watching this every Thursday anyway. XD

Re-watching episode 1 and just got a laugh realizing the Judges at Takane's audition were posing like the vocal/visual/dance judges do in the game.  I guess I didn't notice because none of them were wearing a pointy hat :<
