And it's even harder when they give you a specialized version for your major.

Yup.  Here's a dictionary definition:

"The branch of mathematics that deals with the finding and properties of derivatives and integrals of functions, by methods originally based on the summation of infinitesimal differences. The two main types are differential calculus and integral calculus."

Calculus is different from math courses taken earlier in that it requires you to do a lot more problem solving.  And by problem solving I don't mean "math problems."  Perhaps someone else could provide a definition for problem solving, since it's not in my dictionary and I don't want to give misinformation.

Ah, Calculus...fun times, should have practiced it more (considering that I need to do that for pre-major work in psychology; I'm switching majors from history to psychology.)

Anyway, kinda stressed out that I have to finish a project for a History of the Middle East class. Wait, why am I here in the first place?

Well, it's about the history of the Middle East; more specifically, its formation, the various issues that have happened/are still happening, and how Islam ties in with the Middle East. Interesting stuff, although the class is very hard.

As for why: I needed to take a history class that wasn't US, Western, or World History. With switching, it's kinda moot. (Though I plan to do a minor in history as well as a major in history, so it's not entirely going to waste.)

Edit: Finished it. I feel both good and bad; good that I'm finished, bad that I don't think I'm gonna do well with this project.

Enraged.  I just locked myself out of my own SQL Server database.  I'm inexperienced with this shit, so there's no way I'll figure it out on my own.  Fuck this shit.  Guess I'll talk to our DBA tomorrow.

Relieved. I forgot to go to jury duty last Friday, and I just managed to get it rescheduled to this Friday.

Feeling really good overall. I just presented my project about the Libyan Civil War, and it was nerve-wracking (I really hate being in front of a class and speaking, I flub things up), but I'm done.
