An odd combination of depressed, impatient and overeager.
Depressed - knowing my absent friend is depressed, and that I can't do anything about it. Also because I'm broke as far as I can see, but that's my fault, nobody else's.
Impatient - For new games I've preordered (the Smash 4s and the Ruby remake) to be released, and for some papers to come in the mail that I need to send to my college (as I got accepted). And to set up my placement tests for college, too... and more driving lessons, since I'm having a sort of crash course prior to retrying for my license. (I failed the first time for reasons that were related to my not being behind a steering wheel for a month prior to my test.)
Overeager - because preparing for college! I actually feel as if I'm getting somewhere in life progress now.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I have a lot of family members outside the U.S. going through cancer as well and they seem like they don't have much time left, so I know how you feel....
