Real Ultimate Japanese guests this year though, so I thought maybe they'd be more in demand... but, if you say so. They only scheduled an hour for two artists (and an hour for the others), they might not be expecting it to be that high profile.
It'd really be sad if these artists don't even have long autograph lines. I don't know how it happens, but at Anime Central, Chiaki Takahashi had like... three people in her line one day, and I knew all three. ;_;
JNiles:
I could be wrong this year, but my previous trips point to it being a quiet event. Here, in my opinion, is why:
Most musical events are held in the Williams Ballroom, or rather, pieces of it, as it can be divided up into smaller segments. You can see that there's a Touhou event and a Tales panel going on at the same time in the adjacent rooms. I'm not sure about the CDF portion, but I've been in the AB room, and it is quite small. There's no room for pyrotechnics or fancy stunts. The concerts aren't the spectacles you get when you buy a ticket to someone's concert- they're just live musical performances in an intimate setting. Given that, an hour is plenty- most pop/punk/anime songs are very short.
The main ballroom is bigger, but it doesn't get used for musical events that often. FYI, the last person I recall getting the main ballroom was Ryo Horikawa, voice actor for Vegeta and last year's featured guest. (I went in expecting enka and got my ears blown off.) Idol Yuu Kikkawa performed in the Williams last year, as did another singer/seiyuu. I've seen various acts- visual kei, surf, punk performance, perform there, and they all fit in with room to spare. If they scheduled Yuu Asakawa and Co for the Williams, then they must be confident about the attendance, and they will simply turn people away if it gets too crowded.
The acts that would bring in the huge crowds are precisely the ones that AWA can't support because of their infrastructure needs.
Another mitigating factor is that what you and I are interested in isn't necessarily what the teenage crowd is interested in. Most of her roles listed on the info page are for shows that they aren't watching. If there is a big turnout, it will be due to people coming to AWA specifically to see her.
Chiaki Takashi's non-Idolmaster roles are kinda scattered... I remember her primarily as Takako, the student council president from Otoboku.

She's in Blazblue and she's also just a fabulous 3D lady *feverishly points to avatar*
Are you going to see the Kors K concert?
JNiles:
He's not coming up for me on the schedule form... I guess I missed that. I'll keep an eye out for schedule updates... hope my poor ears hold out.
JNiles:
Exhausted. All I did was pick up my badge, look around, and grab dinner and I'm already conned out. Hope my hearing problem goes away or it's going to be a rough weekend.
