I have strep throat again! The doctor told me that I'll probably have to have my tonsils taken out because I get it so much. I'm really scared about it because I've never had any kind of surgery before!

I'm scared of surgery too! Since the doctor said "probably," I guess that means you still have to get strep throat at least once more after this in order for it to become "definitely." I would avoid people who currently have strep throat and do things that help prevent illnesses in general, like always washing my hands before I eat.

Actual they're getting me an appointment with a specialist, he'll be the one to determine if I have to have surgery or not. I don't know when I'm going yet. That and I'm probably going to have to have them out at some point anyway, my family has a history of tonsil problems. I guess it's better to just get it over with now.
