--- Quote from: Notewell on February 15, 2013, 03:08:40 am ---Witnessing a crime is always scary. Even if the victim is unknown to you, it's hard to ignore what's happened. Crime is hardly impersonal; for those who have the good fortune of living in affluent neighborhoods, crime is little more than a story from a distant land that only happens to "them." They don't notice the unsavory business that happens behind their backs in the confines of nice suburban homes. When you live in an area like yours, sometimes you feel like you can never be safe.

I'm sure you probably know this already, but one of the best defensive techniques you can employ is avoidance. It's much easier and sometimes works better than any self-defense weapon you can buy. Walk confidently, know where you're going, be aware of your surroundings, and above all, don't appear nervous. Maintain a strong posture, keep your head up, and look straight forward. Travel in groups if possible. People are much less likely to bother you when you 1) travel in packs, or 2) look like you know the area.

I hope you stay safe and don't let this get to you.

Yeah, I know. I used to hear that. Though I just started being more cautious after some bandit took my cellphone.

Anyway... now I feel kinda... slow. Just finished my homework in the last day (I had 9 days to do it).

PinoyCruger:
Happy.

Currently watching the live coverage of EWTN's 'Habemus Papam' special.

Notewell:
I think it's going to go back to Italy again after two straight combo breakers.

Well I lied. Cardinal Jorge Bergoglio of Argentina is Pope Francis I.

Been in library today. Turned out the system was offline, so I couldn't check the availability or borrow any books. They said it should probably be back up in a while. I had lots of time today, so I waited...

...4 hours. Thankfully, they had a comic book section (didn't wanted to start a book since I had no idea how much time would it take), which included some mangas as well. Read:
 - 2 volumes of XIII
 - 1 volume of Hellboy
 - 1 volume of Largo Winch (which was a collection of 4 first original volumes)
 - Three Fingers (OMGWTF?!)
 - Duds Hunt
 - 1 volume of Pluto (I'm surely interested in this series now, may be really awesome)

 ...and it turned out, the book was already taken - till 14 April... ;_;

Milwaukee12:
Tired and congested.  Also feeling the need to post here more often.
