Let's say I walk across a booth at a convention selling stuff. Let's say I don't buy anything. When I leave, I tell someone "I decided not to spend any money on merchandise."
Now let's say some random person hears that and gets offended for the dealer and proceeds to tell me off. Seriously, what?
At least it didn't happen to me, but that's what my friend's day's been like.

I get the impression said guy was trying to suck up to the dealer. At least it wasn't the dealer who acted like an entitled child.

At least your friend didn't offend the dealer by accusing them of bootlegs.
