Wouldn't posting to the internet during trial hours piss off the judge?
Well, yeah, but I actually haven't been at trial. See, what happened today was more of the court finding a jury from people: People register themselves after being called by mail, then are stuck waiting in a few places from 8 in the morning till 5 in the afternoon or when there's no more cases that warrant a jury. (There were 81 cases today, but that's on the low side. 140 cases in a day is average and ~200 was the highest number.) That's when you're free to use the internet and whatnot, and in my case, the court supplies the internet too.
Then a list of names are called, sending you to a courtroom which has a case that needs a jury, but that's just to find people who have no "hardships", or reasons why you can't attend this trial on a daily basis. I'm probably excused, since I do have finals coming up on the expected dates of the trial, and they know I'm a full-time student.
