I'm back again. I can't stay away from the fandom, I'll admit that.

just kind of wanted to say hi for the whatever-th time. soyeah, uh, general recap of what's gone on with me I guess?

This past summer I got a decent job that I actually partially enjoy working at. McDonald's was just a cluster fuck of I don't even know how to put it, so yeah uh that was my first job two summers ago and I quit the following winter break. Thankfully the place I work at now pays me more per hour and is only a 15-20 minute walk from home (instead of a 10-15 minute drive like McDonald's was). So uh, yeah... they... gave me a shit load of hours and stuff and it was nice. Hopefully they give me a little bit fewer hours (so I'm not exhausted as fuck like this past summer, but still getting close to the same pay total for the summer), cause I'm hoping to get myself a 360 for iMAS1 and 2... and some M$ points. :V It's gonna hurt my wallet a lot so I might hold off until my birthday and try and get something out of my parents derp. Really hoping to finally get to play the 360 games though, just got to be ready for the painful total.

uh, lesse. I started formally taking Japanese classes when I got to college. I'm in uh, 202 now and stuff. My major's as close to Japanese as this school allows, though unfortunately the department is a cluster fuck (thankfully my minor, linguistics, is well organized as a department) so I end up confused on which courses I have to take and stuff. Uhm, my intention was to go to Japan this coming school year but a: I derped last semester to the millionth degree and failed a class, and b: the earthquake. Might be going in my senior year, given things have settled down for the most part. If I don't get to study abroad, I might try and go out just for a few months sometime after I graduate or something.

I think I'll try logging into WLM more cause I kind of want to talk to you guys more or something? :V (my WLM is meower@optonline.net) Speaking of my computer, after the semester ends I'm gonna be going up to windows 7 finally, horray~

ohyeah and I have a boyfriend now. uhm, we've been dating since october so... yeah. iunno what else to say about that. :V

soooo. yeah. that's it I guess. I've babbled enough for now.

Will warn you, some older hardware doesn't quite like Windows 7. If it's your CD/DVD drive, you'll have install via USB drives. If your computer can't boot USB, or you're having trouble with it, shoot me a message, or read my blog. I'll tell you what I did. Alternatively, you can use the internets.

This is only an issue if you're using old equipment like I was. Oh, my Optiarc, why'd you have to go?

Oh yeah, if your keyboard is not recognized as the standard US keyboard, well shoot me a message, etc... only an issue if you install another language as the default language, like Japanese. Again, I'll tell you what I did. May work for you, may not, who knows. And again, you can use the internets too.

I have a laptop now that was actually specially ordered to have XP on it since it typically comes with 7 (my dad didn't want to have me running an OS he wouldn't know how to fix), plus I've run that windows 7 check thing and everything save the nintendo USB device checks out so. : P Gonna have to figure out how I'm gonna get my DS online at school (stupid log-in requirement), but otherwise I'm pretty sure my laptop'll be fine. xD My dad actually went out and upgraded all the computers in use at home to be able to run 7 well, including giving my laptop more memory. My sister's computer was the one that needed to be almost 100% gutted for new everything for 7, everyone else just needed an upgrade. Though I guess if I stilled used my old desktop it would have needed to be almost completely replaced for 7 too. *shrug*

and while I'd actually find it fun to have my OS in Japanese, my dad would kill me. :V Gotta stick with english so he can help fix any problems I get, though I'm totally setting the IME back up and prolly gonna get the google one again as well. :3
