Somehow, it's really hard for me to think of Ryo as a boy. I dunno, maybe it'll just click into place one day. Kind of like when I used to think of Kyonko as a separate character altogether from Kyon, then one day I watched a video with her in it and thought "yes, this is right - Kyonko is the female version of Kyon."

That's just the T-Shirt costume for him, though you aren't all wrong. The finale in Ryo's story mode is him revealing he's a guy, shortly after he becomes A Rank. Much like the real life reaction, his fans take the news a lot better than he probably would've liked.
