You know. I kind of like Ryo. It's interesting to see a male idol in the game. Well of course I also like Ai and Eri too. Too bad I don't have a DS.   :(

You know, I'm usually bothered by any character that immediately gets popular, but... it only makes sense that people are gushing about him, since he's the first male idol in the iDOLM@STER series.

However... the fact that he's the only idol I've seen described as "arousing" begs an obvious question: "lol wut?"

From what I've gathered looking at youtube comments about him, it also has to do with his voice actress apparently being pretty popular.

I like the voice as well, personally. Kind of like a deeper Yukiho.

I see Ryo as more the "feminine" side of androgyny, sort of like Makoto showed us earlier in Idolm@ster the "masculine" side of androgyny.
Anyway, I didn't like Ryo's voice for Hello, I think in Dazzling World it worked out better. The voice may be evolving over time, and maybe that was their intention?

We had Makoto as the Reverse Trap, and now Ryo as the trap~ Nice bit of balance. Epic possible pairing. Trap x Reverse Trap wins, trust me.

A-anyway... I have major respect for Ryo's seiyuu. I wouldn't say his voice is one of my favorites - it's not bad, but really not that interesting... unless you consider that this voice actress is a woman pretending to be a young boy pretending to be a teenage girl. And singing like that.

In my earlier post, I wasn't trying to construe that I had no respect for Ryo's seiyu, I definitely do. I can only think it couldn't be an easy assignment given what Silver said, which I agree with.
