I've been busy too. There's no excuse for my tardiness. D:

Happy belated birthday, Ryo! ^^

There is one already, if I saw it right.

I just have a question to those who've played DS, 'cause I've received a bit of conflicting information on Ryo here. (And I kind of have an idea for a fanfic which involves him, so...) It really concerns what stat he excels at.

You see, I found a Japanese site (which I can't locate for the life of me and don't have the patience to find again) that claimed (through a translator, I'll admit...) that he had the highest Dance stat of the three DS idols, due to physical fitness or somesuch. HOWEVER, the wiki says that Ryo is exceptionally bad at physical fitness, and that he is really bad with aerobics and is the slowest in his class. This doesn't necessarily contradict, except where it says "aerobics". I'd forgive his being weaker and slower while being a good dancer, as dexterity, flexibility, and speed, although they tend to be grouped together, aren't necessarily the same, but... aerobics is basically the foundation for dancing. So can someone tell me if Eance really is his best stat? (The other two best stats made sense, though; Eri got Visual 'cause she had been a net idol and knew what fans wanted, while Ai got Vocal 'cause she was Mai's daughter and, thus, had better genetics for singing or somesuch.)

JNiles:
I have the game but haven't really fired it up.  I think you've hit upon the answer though.  Each stat has to be someone's specialty, or the game would be unbalanced.  If the other two don't specialize in Dance, then it's Ryo.

The DS game and the wiki do not have to be in agreement.  A large enough backlog of game history will eventually create contradictions.

Rihsa:
Perhaps you can think of it this way: Ryo is really good at learning, memorizing, and actually executing (as in timing, form, placement during dance, etc.) dances well. And all of those skills are independent of physical fitness. Because one can be a physically fit person but suck at dancing. Maybe a person has bad spatial recognition and is all over the place when dancing. Maybe they exaggerate particular movements of the dance. Ryo just happens to be good at doing dances accurately, perhaps?
