Yeah, I heard his solo on Dazzling Word and I must say I did not like it all that much. Don't know if it's because his seiyuu must work hard to sing differently from how her natural voice sounds, or if she just hasn't become used to singing as Ryo yet (which is understandable) but I thought he/she sounded pretty bland and impersonal.

Personally, I don't have much trouble with Ryo being a boy. But to me, crossdressing to fool people and get more attention, is a really lame thing to do. And Ritsuko being in on it, which I think is the case, that's OOC for her IMO.
So all in all, I had much rather seen that Ryo had been a girl.

also i meant;
ryo is crossdressing to be an idol because ritsuko is the least popular and the fact that shes more interested in accounting, which has brought the akizuki family in shame (dont see any back story there) ryo cross dresses to bring more attention to the family.
hopefully im wrong or they change the game, because it seems like a lame reason why to cross dress.

He tries to get Ritsuko to help him get his foot in the door, she introduces him to some producer who has a live show booked but an absent idol. Ryo gets forced onstage in a little pink dress, etc.
The rest is just my own speculation, but it seems like the direction it's heading in is, Ryo is a hit with the crowd, the glasses lady decides to keep him aboard, but forces him to keep up the girl charade because that's what all his fans think after his debut.
Kind of a butt monkey character. Schadenfreude humor~

Yeah, I don't know his exact story either, obviously. But as I understand it, it's established that Ai and Eri doesn't know about his crossdressing, and I don't like them being tricked.
And that part of the Dearly Station broadcast where it was revealed, it would not have been good even as a parody to me. Still, it's probably the only big disappointment I've ever had with iM@S, so I'll get by anyway. ^^
