Now can you guess who this particular girl is and where she's from?

I was about to post the answer, but the filename...
I feel like cheating now, although I really don't... I just finished watching the anime last month. What an epic fail ending
I can't get her to be recognizable like that though. My efforts are usually nothing but a lump of failures

I don't mean to jump on the critique bandwagon and argue against you yukipo, but just there are some interesting comments above I want to comment on lol.
Art I believe is more on communication than perception of the work. We do perceive art in different ways, but that I think is more a result of the medium trying to communicate a message. With our mind either perceiving it or not depending on how well the artist portrays the message. Regardless of how we perceive the work in our mind, it'll be different to each person depending, which is what I think Scotty is touching on. Not an attempt to be mean, but to express critique on how to improve the work where it communicates more effectively and has a wider appeal. We do have our expectations of art and what we want it to be, but those are just our limits we place on work so it's defined as art in our head.
Scotty's comment is a push in the right direction to you Sunflora if you're really interested in improving your work. Not just a change in medium, but just a suggestion of change overall to keep pushing your work so it can open up new ideas. Allowing you to expand beyond limitations you may not realize, and allow you to create and add more to your work. If you're not looking for that, that's fine, but sharing artwork can be a troublesome thing to do because when you do show your work, you have to accept that others will critique it. Even if it's not being asked for. Especially with how you've setup this thread, you're presenting your artwork to be viewed and commented on. If you want some critique I'm willing to share some.

I think you know who this is wearing a hula skirt. Maybe should've made her hair longer, though.

Yep, that's Hatsune Miku.
Why, how come all the girls I see here have such "small/thin" waists?

Given Sunmarill's condition...
...it'll most likely be ignored.

Misaki Ayuzawa, it says so on your DA page, even though no regular human would ever be able to recognize that.
Now can you stop reposting your old crap one at a time or make useless posts on random topics just so you can bump up your post count like you've been doing the past few days.
