People are showing effects of the increased radiation but no one has died yet. When Chernobyl happened, some of the  workers died from radiation poisoning within a few months after the disaster. It depends on the person, but they all definitely have increased risks of cancer. It's unfortunate, but they know what they're doing. These guys are heroes.

Yeah. I think I heard they were mostly older workers?

... Daaaaang. I mean, I wanna say I'm sure they'll be fine, and they're meeting the whole crisis with protective equipment that's just as strong as what's being thrown at them, but... what's being thrown at them is a nuclear reactor, and it supplies power to how much of Tokyo?

Well, they'll get things done. They'll feel it later probably, but I'm pretty sure they'll get things under control.

And that's the thing about life. Certain people have to give up something so the rest of them don't.
