Yeah, living so close to Hollywood can do that to you. :P

Anyway, to anyone from the States who buys food from Japan, got some bad news for you:

I wouldn't worry to much. I heard on ABC that since the earthquake all flights coming from Japan have been screened for radiation by hi tech sensors then re-screened with even higher tech sensors. According to US customs if its on the shelves its safe to eat as far as Rads go.

Not sure if anyone's died handling the reactors (don't think so), but well, it's radiation poisoning. I don't think people'll die immediately from it, but you might be feeling it a few years down the line.

I'm sure they can handle getting things back up, though.

I know. We Washingtonians are shaking our heads...ah, California...I mean really, there will only be traces of radiation, and you're exposed to radiation every day. We're all going to die one day anyways. XD

People are showing effects of the increased radiation but no one has died yet. When Chernobyl happened, some of the  workers died from radiation poisoning within a few months after the disaster. It depends on the person, but they all definitely have increased risks of cancer. It's unfortunate, but they know what they're doing. These guys are heroes.
