Whoa, thread revival >_<

I finally finished my 2nd run of the game, using my dream team Moonbeam! (Takane, Yukiho, and Chihaya)

I ended up with the good ending, having won Ocean Blue, and snagging Snow White on the last week before Fireball. We also got IA Grand Prix due to our last single making #7 (without the aid of a break, somehow). Fireball was won in one try again, I must be doing something right or I have beginner's luck.

Also in the endgame, Moonbeam won a Top10 audition with their first single.

The fourth one is highest chart position, in this case 7th place. Also, on normal mode, getting first position without a break/revival/super break is incredibly easy. On 360/Hyper, you pretty much need one to achieve the top positions.

Note: It is possible to achieve the True Ending on the first run, albeit with some luck manipulation/DLCs. A second run is much easier for a True End attempt.

On another note, I should record a New Game True Ending run. I started one before, but I abandoned the attempt due to not manipulating reporters when necessary and fell too far behind for it to be feasible.

Oh... then that means on my first playthrough, my last single made it as far as #2... even though I only saw it hit #5 the week of Fireball. Interesting... good to know though.

As for reporters, maybe I should start paying attention to them. I had at least 2 follow me during this run, earlier on, but for the second half I didn't run into any.

Once I've pretty much bought out the stores in-game, I'll attempt a perfect run. >_<

Finally finished my second run and am quite proud of how I did. (Was expecting a train wreck since it was only my second playthrough...)

Replayed Iori Extra Episode as a Let's Play and for fun... and I literally destroyed everyone despite failing a few times in the beginning..



My last highest score for Iori was like 97669... but you can basically destroy Jupiter and not let them burst appeal at all, if you have 5 memory appeals and know how to do a memory drive. In the third festival, I basically scored 50382, although it could have been higher if I didn't accidentally press two appeal buttons, thus losing my chain bonus.

My Let's Play is complete... and well the results:


Pretty much figured how to make a really high score and that I didn't need to burst until I wanted to. The scores for the middle songs lacked because I didn't start bursting midgame. Also, I didn't had enough CD sales because of low attention rate. Thankfully, the Break for 私たちはすっと...でしょう？ helped boost it up to the needed range so I can get an A for CD sales.

Of course with that over, I need to cut the video and upload it. That will complete probably the first complete recorded Let's Play for Idolmaster 2 on the PS3, unless somebody already beaten me to it.

Just finished my first playthrough and got B rank!
it was with Hibiki as leader, makoto and Yukiho. (MaHiYu)
Our first song was READY!!, followed by Megare!, Ai like hamburger, kiramekirari, and shiny smile.
I managed to snag who breaks in a row which shot me from rank 22 to rank 1

I didn't read any strategy guides, so I wasn't quite prepared for how taxing it would be to work your way up the charts. I barely managed to avoid the A Capella Ending by finishing a Utahime-Utaoji festival on week 53. I started my second playthrough this morning after doing the Extra Episode once with Ritsuko.

Well, just now I made a Japanese PSN account and PS3 profile, which was kind of a bad idea since it won't let me play if I copy the save data from the main account which I've played without DLC. So I guess I'll have to start again from scratch. Oh well. Not a huge loss. It's gonna be a pain unlocking Ritsuko again, though.

there is no need to. You can download and install the DLC on your japanese account, switch back to your original account and use the DLC there
