Or more sanely would be to do your last run at level 8, then get rank 10, and stop playing storymode after that.
I imagine that NBGI will probably be a smart alec and make ONE DLC item require Producer rank 10. They've been known to do stuff like that before.
But yeah, Hyper is mostly for those who are really, REALLY bored, dislike playing on normal, or really want rank 10. You don't need to rank anything in hyper, since throwing it entirely still works.
And besides, the only thing it REALLY offers is the ability to see AI that really, REALLY cheats. Apart from that, well...

I finally got a song, Jibun Restart, at the Top 10 and in the #1 spot!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
I was soooooooo happy!!!! And it was all thanks to Ariake Jin for randomly coming up and bringing my fans up 40% at like the 52 week!!

Finished Playthrough #7 with Miki as Leader and Yukiho and Hibiki as support members.
It was on Hyper Mode and the songs were Kiramekirari, Do-Dai, Cosmos Kosmos, Relations and Shiny Smile. Shiny Smile took number one in the charts with about 4.5 millions sold, Relations took the second spot with about 3 millions, in total i almost sold 10 million CDs in and had almost the same amount of fans.
Miki and her friends won all the Utahime-Utaoji festivals even in the capital region.
In the end it was decided i did an S rank job and now i'm a true idolmaster (producer level 10)

I finished my complete first play through nearly two weeks ago after I raged quit on my first ever unit... Result is here and I did quite decently despite not knowing how to do the chart status properly and of course the appeals... Eventually I got used to it...
As for my last completed produce...
Did a lot better and managed to get on the Top 20 early in the game. Sadly, it made it more difficult as I had to train harder, losing valuable time to gather fans from other regions. Not only that, I wanted the Ultimate amulet, which will make dominating Japan a lot easier for the produce I'm doing now... Also, it was my first time getting all A's on the report and getting first place on the Dotop charts.
As for my latest and last play through before college, I'm producing フラワープリンセス and redoing Haruka's story again... This unit consists of Haruka, Chihaya and Yukiho (it's the color of the star spangled banner) Although the scores are slightly lower than my last play through, I managed to get all the IA awards within 51 weeks. Now need to keep resetting for a break and I should become golden.
