iDOLM@STER 2 + S4U request thread

--- Quote from: Byuusan on November 02, 2011, 08:18:02 am ---wow spent the whole time playing on the weekend and i never discovered that (it was probably on the manual and i never bother to read it). I tried looking around it some more.
Works for S4U, Album replays and in the actual game itself
It possible to do it roughly just as the music starts.
Apparently it R3 only
L3 does something else but i cant read :<

I can't read what's under the L3 either, but from what I experienced, the camera seems to really follow the Idol you chose, instead of just standing still (so when they do moves like bending over or jumping in the air, you can still see their faces).
Also, thanks to Setsuna for telling us, I have been playing since the release and I had not noticed either!
Setsuna:
More discovery notes that you might be interested in for request purposes, although not many people ask for these things.
I've been sick anyway, so I've been stuck at home. Weather sucks.
You cannot make Jupiter or Miku have an accident, or if you can, it's very, very rare (For an idea, I fired off about 200 appeals to test this). I suspect this may disappoint some people who wanted to see Miku stack it on stage.
Miku uses Haruka's model when posing for regular appeals (or one of the others, the pose is identical to the ones you see in game) with the burst being the only signature unique to Miku.
Miku only gets one costume, with no ability to tack anything else on. it sucks. The 765 cast can accessorise, take that Miku!
Which of course leaves the question why they don't permit any team mixing)
Sadly, they didn't give each one a seperate number on the shoulder, each of the 765 cast all identify as 01. Now if they numbered it from 01 to 13, I'd be impressed...
You also can't get the 765 cast trying to break their voices trying to sing World is Mine either (just in case anyone asks, although I think it was established they wouldn't be.)
Oh, and if you have the DLC, some of the Festival matchups become harder.
And before I forget, the other note is World is Mine clocks in at 3 minutes - it isn't cut to the 2:15 that the im@s songs generally are cut to.

We've got the holy grail we've been hoping for since im@s 2 came out. I uh... This could be REALLY fun...

Still waiting on a blue screen stage, though? I think that would make the entirety of the PS3-version-buying fanbase happy.
... Or heck, they could just release the singular software command to not render anything but the idols and to change the color of not-idol-on-this-pixel as DLC, then both camps could buy it.

You know, considering that some of the other features weren't documented in the manual... It wouldn't actually surprise me if they had that in mind.
It'd be one way to force them to spend up twice at least, and Namco likes their money. I'll continue investigating.
Setsuna:
It's official - The X360 and PS3 compendiums are completely incompatable.
To be precise, all the numbers past the original 16 for base costumes, and 15 for Extend costumes and any accessory past 24 is now officially invalid if you try to cross port them.
I've just fully completed all the sidestories, and now have all their gear, and noticed something.
They inserted the costume set that's tied to Nana Iro Button PRIOR to any of the DLC, and since it doesn't actually exist in the X360 version, well...
This has the unfortunate effect of kicking every single number post 16/24 by one or two, depending what it is (I say that, because it seems that the hamster's done a number as well as oddly enough the horns which let me swipe it for the grand price of Kami Summer only, and Miku's costume makes the Extends go +2 instead.)
In short? There MUST be two seperate compendiums. No ifs, no buts. Codifying MUST NOW SPECIFY the console type (X360 or PS3) due to the code, EVEN IF it can be filled on either due to this (ie any of the shared songs). You can end up with completely different items if you specify a code high enough.
I'll be in the priocess of updating all the code (and steeling myself for a lot of repetitious screencaping) when I purchase the first PS3 DLC set.
I would also strongly advise that all requests that can be made with the PS3 version be made with it, only because well, between the incremental improvements (Subtitle removal and the choice of camera chase), and a video I'm going to upload very shortly, there's limited reasons why you'd want to. (Namely, you might want the DLC that is on the X360 version)
Currently, you gain all costumes and effects from Kyun Vampire Girl to I Want that aren't present in the PS3 version.
Personally I won't be actively able to update the X360 compendium. The PS3's eating the budget more than even I anticipated. If you REALLY want something, or want the compendium to reflect changes, you can either throw the points my way, or you can talk with me so we can add the missing images and the like. (Although it's unlikely I'll be accepting code suggestions unless you can prove (via a screenshot of your gear collection) where they'll sit.)
